Linewise is seeking a senior mechanical engineering leader to manage the engineering team and own final technical quality control across CAD and simulation workstreams, including FEA/CFD used in AI development.

You will assess deliverables for technical soundness and evidence, guide engineers and external partners, and uphold consistent quality standards as projects scale.

Qualificações

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with 6+ years of leadership experience.
• Experience coordinating quality across international teams and external partners.
• Strong foundations in design, engineering and manufacturing with real industrial problem solving.
• Hands-on CAD and FEA expertise with ability to evaluate CFD work and limits of analysis.
• Experience reviewing engineers' work and making defensible technical decisions.

Responsabilidades

• Own final technical review and sign-off across workstreams; identify critical issues, request corrections, and verify their resolution before delivery.
• Review CAD models, assemblies, drawings, design changes, and engineering rationale for functional validity, consistency, and manufacturability.
• Evaluate FEA and CFD simulation assumptions, material properties, loads, boundary conditions, mesh quality, results, and relevant modelling choices; assess convergence, physical plausibility, and whether conclusions are supported.
• Review load-case definitions and engineering workflows for realistic use scenarios, clear documentation, and traceability between requirements, models, and outputs.
• Define acceptance criteria and review checklists, resolve technical disagreements, and involve specialist reviewers where deeper domain expertise is needed.
• Manage and mentor engineers, assess vendor and freelancer capability, and improve review processes to increase throughput while maintaining quality.
• Communicate directly with customers to clarify technical requirements, discuss review findings, and explain risks and limitations; align with project leads on delivery readiness.

We are looking for a senior, hands-on mechanical engineering leader to manage the engineering team and own final technical quality control across our engineering workstreams. These include CAD and engineering design data, simulation load cases, and reviews of FEA and CFD work used in AI development.

You will assess whether deliverables are technically sound, supported by evidence, and ready for client delivery. The role combines broad engineering judgment with detailed technical review, guidance for engineers and external partners, and ownership of consistent quality standards as delivery scales.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, with 6+ years of relevant industry experience and demonstrated technical leadership at lead or head of engineering level.
• Experience working with international teams and coordinating quality across multiple projects and external partners.
• Strong foundations in design, engineering and manufacturing, supported by experience solving real industrial engineering problems.
• Hands-on expertise in CAD and FEA, with sufficient breadth to evaluate CFD work alongside specialists and recognise the limits of an analysis.
• Experience reviewing and approving other engineers’ work, challenging assumptions, and making defensible technical decisions.
• Proficiency in relevant CAD and simulation tools, such as SolidWorks, Ansys, Abaqus, Fluent, or Simcenter.
