Job summary

Hitachi Energy Technology Services Private Limited in Vadodara, Gujarat, invites a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in Power Transformers to join their Global Engineering Center. You will be part of an international design team, handling mechanical design, windings, tanks, externals and documentation to meet project timelines.

The role requires 9–12 years in transformer mechanical design, strong CAD skills (Creo preferred), knowledge of industry standards, and strong English

Qualifications

• B.E / B.Tech Mechanical Engineering degree.
• 9–12 years in mechanical design for power transformers manufacturing.
• Proficiency in CAD software; Creo is preferred.
• Knowledge of transformer design, mechanical calculations, dielectrics, clearance/creepage.
• Understanding of IS/IEC/IEEE standards.
• Experience in winding design / tank & externals is an advantage.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Generate active parts and windings/tank & externals meeting factory limitations, guidelines and checklist.
• Prepare customer documents, manufacturing drawings, BOM and submission to customer per project schedule.
• Understand transformer mechanical design, thermal, dielectrics, short-circuit and sound performance.
• Coordinate design activities within a worldwide factories network.
• Participate in internal design concept reviews.
• Demonstrated team-building skills and ability to work with global engineering teams.
• Speak with and collaborate with technical teams across the world.
