Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY TECHNOLOGY SERVICES PRIVATE LIMITED seeks a Primary Design Engineer to develop 3D models and BoMs for high voltage switchgear. You will coordinate with project management and design teams to ensure timely, accurate deliverables for various substation configurations.

You will produce 3D models (GIS, Hybrid, Live/dead tank breakers), review drawings, define technical parameters, and support customers throughout the design process, including onsite installation activities as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in electrical or mechanical engineering with 4–6 years of experience.
• Hands-on Creo and Windchill experience.
• Experience in switchgear mechanical design.
• Knowledge of IEEE, IEC standards and other applicable norms.
• Understanding of manufacturing drawings and electrical schematics.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Design 3D models of high voltage switchgear and prepare BoM.
• Coordinate with project management, design engineers, and SCM for timely delivery.
• Prepare 3D modelling of HV products for substation configurations and create part numbers in SAP/ERP.
• Review 2D/3D drawings before submission to customers.
