Experience Edge India is seeking a seasoned workforce management professional to drive manpower planning and deployment for a large, distributed operations network across first-mile, middle-mile and last-mile activities.

The role translates business volumes into actionable workforce plans, ensuring adequate manpower while optimizing productivity, service levels and cost efficiency. Collaboration with Ops, HR, Finance and Legal is essential to align strategies with business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead workforce planning, manpower deployment, staffing and capacity planning across a large-scale, distributed workforce.
• Drive workforce productivity, manpower efficiency, cost optimisation and service improvements, with a strong focus on measurable outcomes.
• Oversee workforce planning and deployment across multiple cities, regions or states, preferably within a pan-India operating environment.
• Develop workforce forecasts using operational volumes, trends and data to identify manpower requirements, capacity gaps and deployment priorities.
• Work with variable workforce models such as per-piece, incentive-based, temporary, flexible and gig staffing.
• Manage and optimise outsourced, contract, gig, delivery-partner and other frontline workforce models.
• Manage manpower vendors and staffing partners, including workforce supply, SLAs, performance, compliance and governance.
• Leverage Excel, BI tools, dashboards and operational analytics to support workforce decisions and identify improvement opportunities.
• Partner closely with Operations, HR, Finance, Technology/Product, Procurement, Legal and other key stakeholders to align workforce strategy with business requirements.
• Take end-to-end ownership of workforce deployment, balancing business demand, manpower availability, productivity, service levels and cost.

Role Overview

Our client is looking for a seasoned workforce management professional to execute the workforce strategy through manpower planning and deployment for a large, distributed workforce across first-mile, middle-mile and last-mile operations.

The role will involve translating business volumes and operational requirements into effective workforce plans, ensuring adequate manpower availability while driving productivity, workforce efficiency, service levels and cost optimisation.

• Postgraduate qualification in relevant fields is an advantage.
• Certifications in analytics, forecasting, Lean/Industrial Engineering or vendor governance will be preferred.

Experience (10-16 years):

Experience in workforce deployment, operations planning and outsourced workforce management. The ideal candidate will have experience managing outsourced, gig, contract, delivery-partner or frontline workforces, with strong exposure to forecasting, capacity planning, vendor management, SLAs, workforce supply and governance.

Preferred Industry Background:
