Optum is seeking a Senior Manager of User Experience to lead and grow a team of senior product designers. You will collaborate with researchers, developers, and product managers to deliver best-in-class SaaS solutions using human-centered methodologies.

You will oversee design activities, create prototypes and specifications, and advocate for accessible, user-centered design across multiple projects while aligning with business and technical goals.

Qualificações

• 12+ years of software engineering and technology or related field
• 5+ years of UX design experience with wireframes and prototypes to communicate design concepts
• 5 years of understanding mature user-centered design and research practices
• 5+ years of experience participating in user research and concept testing with real users
• 3+ years of managing multiple UX professionals towards a cohesive vision
• Portfolio of relevant user experience project deliverables
• Excellent communication skills across diverse audiences, including executives

Role Overview:

Optum’s User Experience DesignTeamis looking for an energetic and creative Senior Manager who is passionate about the design of great health care experiences.As aSeniorManager you will report to theSeniorDirectorof Product Designand supervise a team ofseniordesigners. Youwillcollaboratewithresearchers, developers andproduct managerstocreate best-in-class, interoperableand modern SaaSsolutionsusing human-centered methodologies.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage a team ofsenior level productdesigners to design compelling and useful products
• Create functional prototypes, static mockups as well as textual specifications - each describing in as much detail and fidelity as possible the intended user-observable behavior of the final product
• Collaborate with stakeholders including UX Leads, Product Managers and Development Managers to identify, plan, prioritize and implement project design activities
• Participate in gathering research insights and concept testing to inform design decisions
• Perform design duties for one or more projects to meet UX, technical, and business needs
• Advocate for user-centered design including research and accessibility
• Leverage and contribute to existing design pattern libraries and interface guidelines
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

• 12+ years of software engineering and technology or related filed
• 5+ years of UX design experience, including creating wireframes and prototypes to communicate design concepts
• 5 years of demonstrated understanding of mature user-centered design and research practices with a deep background and bias towards simplicity, elegance, and minimalism
• 5+ years of experience participating in user research and concept testing with real users
• 3+ years of proven ability to manage multiple user experience professionals towards a cohesive vision
• Portfolio of relevant user experience project deliverables
• Proven excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex concepts clearly and persuasively across diverse audiences at various levels of our organization including executive leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Information Architecture, Communications, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• Experience with enterprise software, B2B applications or large employee-facing systems in the medical, healthcare or financial domains
• Proven ability managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of UX- related analytics, metrics, and measurement techniques
• Proven involvement in the UX community (e.g. associations, meet-ups, clubs, conferences)
• Proven collaborative, low-ego approach to working with others
