  • Experience leading cross-site improvement projects in people experience, cost, productivity or contract labour is desirable.

About the role: The Senior Manager HR is responsible for leading the Unit HR agenda at the Alwar manufacturing site, partnering with business and factory leadership to enable effective people, employee relations and operational outcomes. The role has significant responsibility for union and employee relations, factory HR, labour compliance, contract labour management and Long-Term Settlement, while also leading selected cross-site projects focused on people experience, cost effectiveness and productivity improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Unit HR agenda for the Alwar manufacturing site and act as a trusted HR business partner to the factory leadership team, supporting business priorities and day-to-day factory operations.
  • Own employee and industrial relations for the unit, including constructive engagement with union representatives, grievance handling, disciplinary matters and proactive management of workforce issues.
  • Lead Long-Term Settlements with the union, including preparation, negotiation, implementation and governance, balancing employee relations, business continuity and sustainable operating requirements.
  • Ensure robust labour compliance with applicable labour laws, statutory requirements and Labour Code provisions; maintain appropriate records, governance and readiness for inspections or audits.
  • Own contract labour governance, including workforce planning, deployment controls, contractor compliance, documentation, wage and statutory adherence, productivity and improvement actions.
  • Partner with factory and business leaders on organisation effectiveness, manpower planning, capability, performance, talent, engagement, change management and employee experience.
  • Support effective factory operations by maintaining a productive and stable work environment through early identification of people risks, practical interventions and disciplined follow-through.
  • Drive central and cross-site people projects focused on employee experience, cost effectiveness and productivity improvement, translating common initiatives into measurable site outcomes.
  • Lead contract labour improvement projects across sites, identifying opportunities to strengthen governance, optimise workforce deployment, improve productivity and standardise effective practices.
  • Use people data and operational insights to identify trends, track outcomes and enable fact based decisions on workforce, cost, productivity and employee relations.
  • Build effective stakeholder relationships with employees, union representatives, contractors, external authorities and internal stakeholders while maintaining high standards of ethics, fairness and confidentiality.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise and influence on complex employee relations and factory HR matters, confidently communicating difficult or sensitive information and building consensus across stakeholders.
Experience / skills required
  • 5-10 years of relevant Human Resources experience, with at least 3 years of core experience in factory or manufacturing HR operations and union management.
  • Demonstrated experience handling industrial relations and Long-Term Settlement processes, including preparation, negotiation and implementation.
  • Strong working knowledge of labour compliance, contract labour management and relevant labour-code provisions applicable to factory operations.
  • Practical experience partnering with factory leadership and supporting operational priorities in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to manage complex employee relations matters with sound judgement, credibility, fairness and appropriate stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience leading improvement or transformation projects; exposure to multi-site projects in people experience, workforce cost, productivity or contract labour is desirable.
  • Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, influencing and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic HR partnering with hands-on execution in a factory environment.
