Job summary

IndusInd Nippon Life Insurance is seeking an experienced Medical Underwriter in Mumbai to handle complex medical and high-ticket cases. The role requires deep knowledge of life insurance underwriting, strong data interpretation skills, and the ability to train both internal and external stakeholders.

Candidates with MBBS/BAMS/BHMS backgrounds who can interpret ECG/TMT results will be preferred. The position involves presenting analyses and supporting sales teams with technical underwriting

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and assist in underwriting complex medical and HNI cases.
• Quality check underwriting decisions, documentation and systems.
• Identify training needs and set underwriting authority limits.
• Manage Sales teams by delivering trainings and resolving complex cases.
• Provide technical support on medical and financial underwriting.
• Prepare presentations and spreadsheets as part of reporting.
• Interpret ECG/TMT results where applicable for MBBS/BAMS/BHMS doctors.

Role & responsibilities

• To underwrite and provide assistance in underwriting complex medical cases and HNI cases.
• To ensure quality check on underwriting decisions, documentation, and system check.
• To recognize training needs and recommend underwriting authority limits.
• To manage Sales teams by providing trainings, resolutions on complex and high-ticket cases
• To provide technical support by training internal & external stakeholders on Medical and Financial Underwriting
• To be good at preparing Presentations (PPT) and Spreadsheets
• To be able to interpret ECG / TMTs (Applicable for Doctors MBBS/BAMS/BHMS)

Preferred candidate profile

• 8 - 10 years' experience in Medical Underwriting- with sound Knowledge of Life insurance Underwriting.
• Ability to analyse, comprehend vast medical & financial information and take prudent underwriting decisions.
