Job summary

Dow Chemical International Private Limited in Navi Mumbai, India is seeking a Purchas ing Analyst to manage tactical sourcing activities, data management, and vendor coordination within the Source to Pay process for the Logistics commercial area.

You will work with Oracle Transportation Management, SAP, VIP, and Zycus, applying analytical methods to solve operational problems and drive value. The role requires strong communication, initiative, and the ability to collaborate across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is required.
• 2–5 years of experience in end-to-end purchasing processes.
• Strong communication and presentation skills are essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with SAP, OTM, VIP, and Zycus is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes Oracle Transportation Management System, SAP, VIP, Zycus to perform pricing, rate validation and accessorial implementation.
• Provides the needed information and enters new and/or updated contract agreements and vendor codes in SAP.
• Works with data and upload accurately and timely into the system.
• Utilizes visualization tools like Power BI to expedite their work process.
• Analyzes and troubleshoots data disconnects between the Suppliers and Systems, which impact the end-to-end process.
• Provides sourcing support for Dow businesses or functions by working with the partners to clarify the scope of service, quality, volume, and logistic requirements for new and existing purchases.
• Resolves process or supplier issues as escalated from the Procure to Pay (PtP), Supply Chain.
• Has a high knowledge base of procurement process, purchasing policies, negotiation strategies and tactics is needed.

Job Summary

As a Purchasing Analyst in Navi Mumbai, India. In this role, you will need an understanding of key work processes across specific areas of Source to Pay for Logistics commercial area. Successfully execute against those processes and continually expand your working knowledge to deliver results. We are looking for someone with good communication skills (verbal as well as written), improve mindset and elevated level of initiative, motivation.

You will develop full proficiency in a range of tools and processes through job-related training and on-the-job experience. You will need to be able to apply knowledge of tools and processes to perform a range of work assignments. You need to understand how multiple teams coordinate efforts and resources to achieve objectives and be able to explain complex technical information to members of your own team and other teams.

• Manages tactical sourcing activities sourcing, data management, special projects, and client service.


• Creates value by providing fast, accurate, implementation of tactical sourcing activities.


• Works within defined processes and procedures or methodologies and determines the appropriate approach for new assignments.


• Is responsible to provide solutions to operational or analytical problems using established procedures and practices.


• Will serve as informal resource on analytical, scientific method, or operational processes for less experienced team members.


• Your performance impacts the quality, timeliness, and effectiveness of your own work and your team s work. You will receive supervision on new complex assignments.

Your Skills

• Basic knowledge of Service Now (or similar tool)
