Role Overview

The Senior Manager – Total Rewards (Reward Reporting & Analytics) is a key member of EXL's Corporate Rewards team and reports to the Senior Assistant Vice President, Reward Analytics & Reporting. This global specialist role supports compensation, benefits, incentive programs, reporting, and reward governance across multiple geographies.

The role converts complex reward and workforce data into actionable insights that support compensation decisions, budgeting, workforce planning, compliance, and executive reporting. It is a hands‑on individual contributor position requiring strong analytical capability, business judgment, and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities
1. Reward Analytics & Reporting
  • Develop and enhance monthly and quarterly reward dashboards.
  • Provide insights on pay positioning, compensation costs, incentive funding, and workforce trends.
  • Deliver executive‑ready analytics and recommendations.
  • Automate recurring reporting processes and improve data quality.
  • Conduct cost modeling, scenario analysis, and workforce simulations.
2. Compensation & Incentive Programs
  • Support annual compensation review cycles, including budget modeling and pay distribution analysis.
  • Administer short‑term incentive programs, bonus plans, and sales commission structures.
  • Analyze compensation requests related to promotions, retention, mobility, and market adjustments.
  • Ensure reward decisions align with global compensation frameworks and local regulations.
3. Job Pricing & Market Benchmarking
  • Participate in compensation and benefits surveys (Mercer, WTW, Aon, Korn Ferry, Radford, etc.).
  • Conduct market pricing and salary positioning analyses.
  • Support job evaluation, leveling, and survey benchmarking activities.
  • Maintain consistency between internal job structures and market data.
4. Pay Equity & Transparency
  • Perform pay equity, gender pay gap, and diversity‑related reward analyses.
  • Support regulatory and voluntary pay transparency reporting.
  • Conduct statistical analyses and remediation modeling.
  • Maintain auditable documentation and reproducible methodologies.
5. Workforce Cost & Budget Management
  • Support HR budgeting, forecasting, and compensation cost tracking.
  • Analyze headcount trends, compensation movements, and budget variances.
  • Partner with Finance and Controllership during planning cycles.
  • Identify risks and provide recommendations regarding workforce costs.
6. Benefits & Reward Projects
  • Support reward initiatives involving benefits, incentives, recognition, and EVP programs.
  • Conduct cost‑benefit analyses and utilization reviews.
7. Reward Data & Systems
  • Ensure integrity and governance of compensation and benefits data.
  • Build reusable data models and reporting frameworks.
  • Partner with HRIS and Shared Services teams on reward system administration.
  • Maintain compliance with data privacy and confidentiality standards.
8. Stakeholder Advisory
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to HR, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders.
  • Respond to employee compensation and reward queries.
  • Influence decisions through analytical evidence and insight.
AI-Enabled Ways of Working
Expected
  • Daily use of Microsoft 365 Copilot across Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Experience using AI tools such as Copilot Chat and Claude for analysis, drafting, summarization, and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of data privacy and responsible AI usage.
  • Ability to validate and verify AI‑generated outputs before business use.
Preferred
  • Advanced prompt engineering skills for recurring reward tasks.
  • Experience with Copilot Studio, Power Automate, or AI‑assisted workflows.
  • Demonstrated success improving reward processes through AI solutions.
  • Ability to share AI best practices and improve team capability.
Required Skills & Technical Expertise
Technical Skills
  • Advanced Excel, Power Query, and financial/data modeling.
  • Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization platforms.
  • Compensation analytics, including compa‑ratio, range penetration, and incentive modeling.
  • Experience with HCM platforms such as Workday, SuccessFactors, or Oracle HCM.
  • Pay equity and regulatory reporting expertise.
  • HR budgeting, forecasting, and workforce financial analysis.
  • AI‑enabled analytics and automation tools.
  • Power Automate, Power Apps, or similar workflow platforms.
  • Familiarity with job architecture and leveling frameworks.

Qualifications & Experience
  • 8–12 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in Compensation, Total Rewards, or HR Analytics.
  • Experience working with multinational compensation programs and multi‑country datasets.
  • Hands‑on involvement in compensation cycle management and incentive modeling.
  • Experience partnering with Finance on budgeting and forecasting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Finance, HR, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Preferred
  • MBA or relevant Master's degree.
  • Professional certifications such as CCP, GRP, or CIPD.
  • Experience in consulting, technology, BPM, analytics, or professional services organizations.
  • Exposure to UK, Ireland, EMEA, or South African reward practices and regulations.
  • Intermediate‑to‑senior specialist role with significant visibility among senior stakeholders.
  • Individual contributor position without direct people management responsibility.
