Job summary

Marsh is seeking a Senior Manager – Technical Project Manager (Strategy & Transformation) to join our data science team in Marsh Risk. The role is based in Mumbai/Pune/Gurugram and is hybrid, requiring in-office presence at least three days a week.

You will translate business needs into clear requirements, lead delivery across regions, and collaborate with Data Science, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact, scalable product features.

Qualifications

• 9–12 years of product management experience with at least 3 years in senior/leadership roles.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Experience with APIs, data flows and conceptual system design.
• Build relationships with technical staff and management to resolve project issues and manage risk.
• Assist with evaluating sources for new products/tools with input from stakeholders.

Senior Manager – Technical Project Manager (Strategy & Transformation)

We are seeking a talented individual to join our data science team at Marsh Risk as a Technical Project Manager. This role will be based in Mumbai/Pune/Gurugram. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

The individualcontributor Product Management role is centred on supporting implementation of global initiatives within Marsh Risk to ensure projects of all sizes are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality. The Product Manager will collaborate closelywith data science and analytics colleagues to understand complex financial and statistical challenges, translating these insights into innovative,market-leading product features and tools. This role is responsible for shaping product strategy, prioritizing development efforts, and ensuring the delivery of impactful solutions that meet customer and business needs. This role may be filled by candidates with a background in Project Management, Program Management, Product Management, or Technical Project Management. The core expectations are delivery ownership, stakeholder coordination, and strong execution discipline. Product strategy and technical depth are preferred but not mandatory.

What you need to have:

• 9-12 years of product management experience, with at least 3+ years in a senior or leadership role.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Experience with APIs, data flows, and system design at a conceptual level.
• Build relationships with technical staff and management to determine and resolve issues associated with project implementation, manages and mitigates risk, and ensures that a change control process is in place.
• Assist with evaluating the appropriate source for new products / tools including consulting internal and external stakeholders to obtain input on build vs. buy decisions.
• Works closely with regional stakeholders to coordinate efforts, build strategic plans / budgets, and continuously track adoption of selected tools
• Assist with analysing and tracking adoption of solutions approved by global leadership
• Follow internal document submission practices / requirements to obtain sign-off from relevant stakeholders and departments
• Proactively and assertively communicate potential issues and seek escalation through the right channels
• Ensures the implementation of standard methodologies, tools, templates, and reporting for all projects and programs.
• Prepares regular insightful reports and communications to stakeholders; and budgets.
• Excellent strategic thinking and business acumen.
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Domain expertise relevant to the industry (e.g., B2B SaaS, banking, insurance) is highly valued.
