Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a senior embedded firmware leader to direct design, debugging and optimization for storage/SSD related firmware. You will guide teams, work closely with SoC/ASIC teams, and drive performance improvements using ARM toolchains and advanced debugging tools.

Ideal candidates have 12+ years in embedded firmware, strong C/assembly skills, and experience with SAS/SATA/NVMe interfaces, SSD behavior, and firmware debugging within a fast-paced hardware environment.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in embedded firmware development
• Strong firmware design and debugging with assembly and C
• Knowledge of SSD architectures (flash translation layer, wear leveling, GC)
• Experience with mass storage interfaces (SAS, SATA, NVMe) is a plus
• Understanding ASIC/SoC register configs for embedded firmware
• Strong problem recreation/trapping and identifying performance-critical algorithms
• Proficient with ARM toolchains and IDEs
• Experience in mentoring or supervising engineers
