Job summary

Teradata in Hyderabad, India seeks an experienced engineering leader to drive multiple teams building our next-generation cloud platform. You will shape the technical strategy and roadmaps for scalable, secure cloud capabilities, guiding architecture, development, and operations of distributed services across provisioning, orchestration, and lifecycle management.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software eng experience, with leadership in cloud or distributed systems.
• 5+ years of engineering management leading multiple teams and senior tech leads.
• Proven track record building and operating production cloud platforms at scale.
• Strong cloud architecture, APIs, microservices, Kubernetes, containers, security, and networking.
• Experience across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
• Hands-on coding in Java, Go, or Python and ability to operate strategically and technically.

• Define and execute the technical strategy and roadmap for scalable, reliable, and secure cloud platform capabilities.
• Lead the architecture, development, and operation of distributed cloud services supporting provisioning, resource lifecycle management, orchestration, configuration, automation, and platform operations.
• Drive engineering excellence across the organization, including architecture, software quality, reliability, scalability, security, observability, and operational readiness.
• Build a strong culture of ownership where engineering teams are accountable for the complete lifecycle of their services—from design and development through production operations.

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering, including significant experience leading large-scale cloud or distributed systems organizations.
• 5+ years of engineering management experience, with demonstrated experience leading multiple teams and senior technical leaders.
• Proven experience building and operating production cloud platforms, distributed systems, infrastructure services, or SaaS platforms at scale.
• Strong technical background in cloud architecture, distributed systems, APIs, microservices, Kubernetes, containers, networking, security, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience leading engineering organizations through architecture, development, production deployment, and operational ownership of complex distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of multi-tenant cloud architectures, resource provisioning, lifecycle management, orchestration, scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance.
• Experience working across AWS, Azure, GCP, or comparable cloud environments.
• Strong software engineering background with hands-on experience in one or more modern programming languages such as Java, Go, or Python.
• Demonstrated ability to operate effectively at both strategic and technical levels, from organizational planning to architecture and critical technical decisions.
