Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering background with machining process knowledge
• Thorough CNC programming ability and understanding of HMC operations
• Familiarity with Fanuc and Siemens controls and tool corrections
• Strong knowledge of SPC, MSA and PFMEA for process control
• Experience with TPM, cost reduction and productivity improvement
• People management and IR/conflict handling skills
• Good grasp of engine/mechanism principles and production management
• Quality system awareness and channeling improvements across functions

Responsibilities

• CNC programming and setup on HMC machines per process needs
• Analyze CMM reports and drive corrections
• Address process and quality issues in engine assembly and testing
• Implement SPC, Cp/Cpk, Pp/Ppk to stabilize processes
• Lead new model machining sets, line setup, and ramp-up
• Identify capacity gains via debottlenecking and efficiency improvements
• Drive TPM, cost reduction, safety culture and improvements
• Coordinate with manufacturing, quality and support functions

Job roles & responsibilities

• CNC Programming, Job setting/Component trials on HMC machines as per process requirement
• CMM report analysis & corrections
• Process Issues / Quality issues Resolution related to engine assembly and testing.
• SPC implementation, Control Chart monitoring for parameters, Cp Cpk & Pp ,Ppk evaluation & Monitoring to bring them under our targets of preparing a stable and capable process.
• New model Machining set up, line setup and ramp up
• Capacity improvements through debottlenecking and improvements
• Rejection system-implementation of zero rejection concept
• Revenue cost reduction initiatives for implementation and practice Improvement idea generation and implementation
• Interaction with all support functions and concern resolution with the help of CFT
• Generate Safety working culture
• Develop improvement of culture
• Knowledge of Quality systems and adherence
• Implementation of TPM in Machining
• Driving Tool cost reduction, Power cost Reduction & productivity improvement projects
• Liaison with Manufacturing and Quality for DWM issues and resolution. TPM, 5S, & system knowledge

Education, Skills & Experience

• Machining Process, like Honing, Milling, Boring,
• Thorough Knowledge of HMC Machining center, Programming, Tool correction, Understanding of Fanuc, Siemens Controls
• Knowledge of Machining, Cutting Tool
• Thorough CNC Programming understanding & capability of Preparing of Program
• Basic Machine systems
• Knowledgeable about various milling, drilling, reaming grinding, finish boring operations
• Use of Quality Tools
• DWM Approach
• Sound Knowledge of SPC, MSA & PFMEA.
• People Management / IR issue handling / conflict Management
• Work experience of MOST, Work content reduction
• Sound knowledge of Engine Mechanism & Function
