Job summary

Adani Transmission in Ahmedabad is seeking a senior project planning and scheduling professional to lead mid- to long-term project execution, including civil excavation, foundations, material fabrication and site preparation, aligned with corporate plans.

You will manage budgets, track cash flow, monitor risks, ensure documents are controlled, and drive digital tools for project MIS and performance reporting with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: 10–15 years in Construction & Property Development Project Management.

Responsibilities

• Lead mid/short-term project execution plans including civil excavation/foundation plans, material fabrication and dispatch schedules, and site preparation/resource deployment plans.
• Align project execution with the long-term corporate plan from the PMAG Team.
• Maintain and update project schedules in Primavera; analyze delays and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee budgeting, budget finalization, cost control and cash flow projections.
• Coordinate document control and contract management; ensure access to latest documents.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies and report progress through MIS.

Job description

1. Project Planning and Scheduling
Mid/Short Term Project Execution Plans
*Prepare and implement mid/short-term project execution plans, including civil excavation/foundation plans, material fabrication and dispatch schedules, and site preparation/resource deployment plans.
*Align project execution with the long-term plan developed by the Corporate PMAG Team.
Scheduling and Progress Measurement
*Directly responsible for maintaining and updating project schedules in Primavera.
*Identify and analyze delays, ensuring corrective actions are taken to keep projects on track.

2. Budgeting and Financial Control
Budget Finalization and Monitoring
*Involved in the overall and yearly budget finalization process, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
*Regularly monitor and analyze all cost components of projects to ensure budgetary compliance.
Cash Flow Analysis and Projections
*Prepare cash flow projections and conduct financial analysis to ensure the availability of funds for project execution.
*Align activity-based project costing with the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to maintain control over project budgets.

3. Document Control and Contract Management
Document Control
*Manage the creation, archival, and distribution of project documents using an IT platform for document control.
*Ensure the availability of all project documents with the latest versions on the IT platform (e.g., dmacq).
Contract Analysis and Issue Management
*Analyze project contracts, monitor compliance, and manage issues and escalations as they arise.
*Ensure all contract-related documents are up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.

4. Risk Management and Project MIS
Risk Management
*Identify potential risks to project timelines, budget, and quality.
*Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address these challenges proactively.
Project MIS and Reporting
*Coordinate with stakeholders to capture daily and weekly progress, preparing comprehensive project and cluster MIS reports.
*Provide accurate and timely updates to senior management, ensuring transparency and accountability in project execution.

5. Implement and Optimize Digital Solutions
Digital Dexterity
*Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deploy digital tools that align with business objectives.
*Ensure the effective utilization of digital platforms to improve team efficiency and productivity.

External Stakeholder:
EPC contrators, Consutlants, Vendors and Clients
