In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to:

• Own consolidated P&L — gross margin, revenue realisation, and billable utilisation — across multiple business units simultaneously.
• Govern revenue mix across BUs, actively managing concentration risk and holding each BU lead accountable to revenue commitments and GTM plans.
• Translate annual business goals into measurable OKRs for diverse direct reports and govern achievement throughout the year.
• Lead technology delivery teams — defining structure, driving outcome-based delivery, and leveraging AI to improve team productivity.
• Develop and empower direct reports who are themselves managers, through coaching, delegation, and succession planning.
• Communicate business performance — including underperformance and recovery plans — proactively and directly to the CEO and leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Performance & P&L Ownership

• Own consolidated business performance across multiple BUs or delivery functions — directly accountable for gross margin targets, revenue realisation, and billable utilisation.
• Build and maintain a real-time system for monitoring financial health across all functions simultaneously.
• Identify margin or revenue risks early — before they become critical — and take corrective action with speed.
• Produce consolidated P&L reports and present them to the CEO and senior leadership with confidence and specificity.

Revenue Diversification & Multi-BU Governance

• Govern revenue mix across multiple BUs — actively managing concentration risk and driving healthy diversification.
• Hold per-BU leads accountable to revenue commitments and go-to-market plans through structured governance cadences.
• Lead technology delivery teams with direct accountability for their structure, performance, and outcomes.
• Drive the shift from effort-based to outcome-based delivery and leverage AI to improve team and delivery productivity.

Annual Aspiration Translation & OKR Governance

• Translate annual business plans and company goals into measurable OKRs for diverse direct reports across functions.
• Facilitate both top-down goal cascading and bottom-up alignment throughout the year.
• Report goal status honestly to CEO and leadership — including when things are off track — and present proactive recovery plans.
• Maintain a regular review cadence that keeps all direct reports aligned to annual commitments.
• Lead through direct reports — not around them. Set clear goals, delegate with genuine freedom, and stay connected without micromanaging.
• Involve the team in key decisions before finalising, especially where they hold more detail than you do.
• Develop direct reports through regular coaching, in-the-moment feedback, and structured growth plans.
• Maintain succession plans for critical roles and build trust across both delivery and operations functions.

Accountability, Resilience & Communication

• Take full personal ownership of outcomes — flag problems proactively, always with a recovery plan in hand.
• Stay composed under pressure and stabilise the team rather than passing stress downward.
• Communicate hard truths clearly and directly to the CEO and direct reports without softening the message.
• Build a team environment where problems are raised early — not hidden — through psychological safety and trust.

• You will be reporting to the CEO.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 8+ years of experience in operations or business management.
• Demonstrated ownership of P&L — revenue and gross margin — across more than one business unit or delivery function simultaneously.
• Direct reports who are themselves managers leading their own teams (not individual contributors).
• Experience governing 2 or more functions simultaneously, each with different KPIs, and holding each lead accountable to outcomes.
• Proven experience leading a technology delivery team with direct accountability for its structure, performance, and outcomes.
• Strong financial acumen — ability to discuss specific margin percentages, utilisation rates, and revenue targets without being prompted.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION

• Experience in a digital product engineering, technology services, or SaaS delivery environment.
• Track record of translating company goals into function-level OKRs and governing achievement throughout the year.
• Practical experience driving the shift from effort-based to outcome-based delivery in technology teams.
• A clear, informed perspective on how AI changes service delivery operations and team productivity.
• Experience presenting consolidated performance reports to a CEO or equivalent — including underperformance and recovery plans — with honesty and clarity.
• An MBA or equivalent post-graduate qualification is an advantage but not required.
