Job summary

Forward Impact in India seeks a Senior Manager (Fundraising) to lead the organization's fundraising strategy and secure resources from CSR partners, institutional donors, foundations, trusts, and HNIs. You will design grants, proposals, and engagement models; build long-term partnerships; and guide the fundraising team to achieve annual and long-term funding goals.

The role requires strategic thinking, exceptional relationship management, and compliance with donor reporting while expanding

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in fundraising, donor relations, or business development, preferably within the social impact or non-profit sector.
• Proven experience securing large CSR grants, institutional funding, international grants, and managing high-value donor relationships.
• Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring fundraising teams while driving organizational fundraising performance.
• Master's degree in business administration, Social Work, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Fundraising Leadership: Design and execute fundraising strategies to achieve annual and long-term funding goals from CSR, institutional donors, international agencies, trusts, foundations, and HNIs.
• Grant Writing & Proposal Development: Lead the preparation of compelling grant proposals, concept notes, pitch decks, and funding applications with program, finance, M&E, and communications teams.
• Corporate & Institutional Partnerships: Build and manage strategic partnerships with CSR leaders, funding agencies, and institutional donors; develop engagement models and represent the organization at forums.
• Major Donor & HNI Engagement: Develop and execute strategies to engage HNIs, philanthropists, and family offices through donor visits, storytelling, legacy giving, and endowment programs.
• Donor Reporting & Compliance: Ensure timely donor reporting and coordinate with finance for transparent fund utilization.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and strengthen the fundraising team, fostering collaboration and high performance.

This leadership role requires strategic thinking, exceptional relationship management, grant development expertise, and the ability to build long-term partnerships that strengthen organization mission and impact across India.

Roles & Responsibility:

• Strategic Fundraising Leadership: Design and execute fundraising strategies to achieve annual and long-term funding goals while identifying and securing high-value funding opportunities from CSR, institutional donors, international agencies, trusts, foundations, and HNIs.

• Grant Writing & Proposal Development: Lead the preparation of compelling grant proposals, concept notes, pitch decks, and funding applications in collaboration with program, finance, M&E, and communications teams.

• Corporate & Institutional Partnerships: Build and manage strategic partnerships with CSR leaders, funding agencies, and institutional donors while developing innovative engagement models and representing organization at industry forums and partnership events.

• Major Donor & HNI Engagement: Develop and execute strategies to engage HNIs, philanthropists, and family offices through customized donor engagement initiatives, impact visits, storytelling sessions, legacy giving, and endowment programs.

• Donor Reporting & Compliance: Ensure timely donor reporting, maintain donor relationship management systems, monitor grant compliance, and coordinate with finance teams to ensure transparency and effective fund utilization.

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and strengthen the fundraising team while fostering collaboration, innovation, high performance, and continuous professional development.

Requirement:

• Experience: Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in fundraising, donor relations, or business development, preferably within the social impact or non-profit sector.

• Fundraising Expertise: Proven experience securing large CSR grants, institutional funding, international grants, and managing high-value donor relationships.

• Leadership Experience: Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring fundraising teams while driving organizational fundraising performance.

• Education: Master's degree in business administration, Social Work, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.

• Preferred Experience: Experience working with vocational education, skilling initiatives, or government partnerships will be an added advantage.

• Core Competencies: Excellent communication, proposal writing, stakeholder management, strategic thinking, integrity, resilience, adaptability, and an entrepreneurial mindset.

• Travel: Willingness to travel across India based on organizational requirements.
