Job summary

Lonza is seeking a Senior Manager, FP&A in Hyderabad to lead executive financial analyses, strategic planning, and value creation across the organization. You will partner with Corporate Finance, Investor Relations, and business platform finance teams to drive resource allocation and growth.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related; MBA preferred
• Minimum 10 years of progressive FP&A, finance business partnering, or corporate finance leadership
• Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning
• Experience building financial models, business cases, and investment analyses
• Proficiency with SAP Analytics Cloud, Hyperion, SAP or similar systems

Responsibilities

• Lead executive‑level financial analyses, presentations, and insights for the EC and senior leaders
• Coordinate strategic planning: long‑range planning, budgeting, forecasting, outlook cycles
• Develop and maintain financial models and decision‑support tools
• Drive analyses to support capital allocation and portfolio optimization
• Monitor KPIs, identify drivers, assess risks, and propose mitigations
• Build business cases with leaders and assess ROI for initiatives
• Enhance reporting and forecasting with digital tools and analytics
• Maintain relationships with Corporate Finance, Investor Relations, and cross‑functional teams
• Ensure data integrity across planning systems and management reports

Partnering closely with Corporate Finance, Investor Relations, Business Platform Finance teams, and key business stakeholders, the position enables effective resource allocation, performance management, and long‑term growth. What You'll Do

• Lead the preparation of executive‑level financial analyses, presentations, and business insights for the Executive Committee and senior leadership teams
• Coordinate and manage strategic planning processes, including long‑range planning, annual budgeting, forecasting, and outlook cycles
• Develop and maintain financial models, planning templates, and decision‑support tools that enable effective business and investment decisions
• Drive strategic financial analyses to support capital allocation, business portfolio optimization, and enterprise growth initiatives
• Monitor key business performance indicators, identify drivers of financial performance, assess risks, and recommend corrective actions and mitigation plans
• Partner with Finance and Business leaders to build business cases, evaluate investment opportunities, and assess return on investment for strategic initiatives
• Enhance reporting, planning, and forecasting processes through the adoption of digital tools, automation, and advanced analytics capabilities
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Corporate Finance, Investor Relations, Business Platform Finance teams, and other cross‑functional stakeholders
• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial planning data across systems, reports, and management presentations
• Champion a culture of financial discipline, accountability, continuous improvement, and data‑driven decision‑making

What We’re Looking For

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline; MBA preferred
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, finance business partnering, or corporate finance leadership roles
• Strong expertise in strategic financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning processes
• Demonstrated experience building financial models, business cases, investment analyses, and cost allocation frameworks
• Advanced proficiency with financial planning and reporting systems, including SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), SAP, or comparable platforms
• Deep understanding of financial performance drivers, business economics, and value‑creation strategies
• Proven ability to perform complex quantitative and qualitative analyses and translate findings into actionable business recommendations
• Strong strategic problem‑solving capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced and evolving environment
• Advanced financial modeling and data analysis skills, including Microsoft Excel, Power Query, pivot tables, scenario modeling, and data visualization techniques
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex financial concepts to executive and non‑financial audiences
• Demonstrated success in influencing stakeholders and leading cross‑functional initiatives across multiple business functions and geographies
• Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to define priorities, drive execution, and foster high‑performing teams
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, proactive, and hands‑on with a continuous improvement mindset
• Business‑fluent English required; additional languages are an advantage
