Job summary

Frido, a fast-growing Indian consumer brand, seeks a highly analytical FP&A professional to drive financial planning, performance analysis, and management reporting. You will partner with founders and finance leadership to deliver reliable insights, identify improvements and support strategic decisions.

You will own budgeting, forecasting, profitability analyses and dashboarding across D2C and marketplaces, influencing revenue growth and cost optimisation while ensuring KPI consistency and data

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of FP&A, business finance or corporate finance experience.
• Prior experience in D2C, e‑commerce, FMCG, retail or high‑growth consumer businesses preferred.
• Strong financial modelling skills and advanced proficiency in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Own annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and long‑term financial planning.
• Develop and maintain detailed financial models across channels and product categories.
• Track actual performance against budgets and forecasts, identify deviations and recommend actions.
• Drive revenue, gross margin, contribution margin, EBITDA and cash flow projections.
• Analyse channel‑wise, category‑wise and SKU‑level profitability.
• Deep dive into D2C and marketplace unit economics including marketing spend and logistics.
• Partner with marketing, marketplaces, sales, manufacturing and supply chain teams to identify opportunities for growth and cost optimisation.
• Evaluate financial viability of new products, categories, channels and initiatives.
• Prepare monthly MIS, performance dashboards and business review presentations.
• Develop clear insights for founders and senior management.
• Ensure consistency and accuracy of KPIs across departments.
• Improve reporting processes through automation and data integration.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a highly analytical, hands‑on FP&A professional who can independently drive financial planning, business performance analysis and management reporting.

The role involves working closely with the founders, finance leadership and functional heads to provide reliable financial insights, identify improvement opportunities and support key strategic decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and long-term financial planning.
• Develop and maintain detailed financial models across business channels and product categories.
• Track actual performance against budgets and forecasts, identify deviations and recommend corrective actions.
• Drive revenue, gross margin, contribution margin, EBITDA and cash flow projections.
• Analyse channel-wise, category-wise and SKU-level profitability.
• Deep dive into D2C and marketplace unit economics, including marketing expenditure, logistics, discounts, returns and contribution margins.
• Partner with marketing, marketplaces, sales, manufacturing and supply chain teams to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimisation.
• Evaluate the financial viability of new products, categories, channels and business initiatives.
• Own preparation of monthly MIS, performance dashboards and business review presentations.
• Develop clear and actionable insights for founders and senior management.
• Ensure consistency and accuracy of financial and operational KPIs across departments.

4. Investor Reporting & Strategic Finance

• Support preparation of board presentations, investor updates and financial performance reports.
• Coordinate financial information and analyses required for fundraising and due diligence.
• Build financial scenarios and sensitivity analyses to support strategic decision‑making.
• Work closely with external advisors and internal stakeholders on financial information requirements.

5. Cash Flow & Working Capital

• Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts and monitor funding requirements.
• Analyse inventory, receivables, payables and working capital efficiency.
• Support capital expenditure planning and investment evaluations.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• 5-10 years of relevant experience in FP&A, business finance or corporate finance.
• Prior experience in D2C, e-commerce, FMCG, retail or high-growth consumer businesses preferred.
• Strong financial modelling skills and advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with Power BI, SQL or other analytical tools would be an advantage.
• Strong understanding of P&L, cash flow, unit economics and operational KPIs.
• Experience in management presentations, investor reporting or fundraising support preferred.
