Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior Assurance leader to head Asset Management engagements from Hyderabad, India. You will coordinate with global client-serving teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables for Hedge Funds and Private Equity clients, while mentoring staff across regions.

You will drive training programs, risk management and KPI monitoring, and contribute to practice growth with strong English communication and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Candidate must hold Chartered Accountant (ICAI) / CPA / ACCA certification.
• International experience of 2+ years is beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of Indian accounting and assurance standards.
• Expertise in Asset Management, Hedge Funds and Private Equity.
• Excellent interpersonal, risk management, facilitation and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage projects, lead teams and coach staff.
• Strong English communication, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Serve as main GDS contact for global client assurance tasks.
• Ensure timeliness and quality of engagement deliverables.
• Manage day-to-day engagement operations.
• Support service delivery management for key clients.
• Coach managers in the Asset Management segment.
• Provide technical support and deliver industry training.
• Assist in growing the Asset Management practice.
• Empower, monitor, coach and motivate team members.
• Identify development opportunities and training needs.
• Conduct performance reviews and mentor team members.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Asset Management contacts.
• Support sector growth and quality initiatives.
• Enhance connectivity between GDS and engagement teams and identify work opportunities.
• Support communication, growth, resource and activity plans.
• Monitor KPIs including growth, quality feedback, utilization, risk management compliance and attrition.
• Identify sector-specific training needs and update curriculum.
• Organize and provide technical training in sector and Assurance methodology.
• Address service delivery quality issues and support exceptional service delivery programs.
• Establish best-practice sharing within Asset Management teams.

Requirements

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI) / CPA / ACCA
• Approximately over 10 years of Assurance relevant experience with well-known CA firms
• International experience of over 2 years is an added advantage
• Expert knowledge of Indian accounting and assurance standards
• Assurance experience in Asset Management, specifically Hedge Funds and Private Equity
• Effective interpersonal, risk management, facilitation and presentation skills
• Project management, leadership, coaching, counselling and supervisory skills
• Strong project and people management skills with experience serving global clients
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office is ideally desired
• Interest in business and commerciality is ideally desired
