Job summary

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. is seeking an energetic Chartered Accountant to join the Consolidation team. You will be responsible for preparing standalone financial statements and ensuring compliance with the Companies Act, SEBI LODR, and Accounting Standards.

Strong analytical skills and communication with group companies are required. Yearly responsibility includes quarterly/annual standalone results, budgeting support, and collaboration with auditors.

Job description

• We are seeking an energetic Chartered Accountant to join our Consolidation team. The candidate will be responsible for allocated part in preparing standalone financial statements, ensuring compliance with the applicable laws (Companies Act, SEBI LODR (Related Party Transactions framework), Accounting Standards
• This role requires strong analytical skills, diligence, and the ability to communicate with group companies.
• Provide analytical insights useful for decision making by management.
• Preparation of quarterly/annual Standalone financial results/statements as per the allocated portion
• Compliance with Accounting Standards, Companies Act, SEBI LODR (e.g., related party approval and reporting) with respect to financial reporting and regulatory filings.
• Compilation of budgets
• Actuarial valuation
• Interaction with division for data requirements and support them in accounting of critical transactions.
• Interaction with auditors
• Analyse events, transactions for accounting implications
• Tracking accounting developments and plan for its implementation
• Improvement in processes, including through use of automation, to reduce time taken in completion of activity.
• Collaborate with team members and provide support as needed.

• Apart from technical skills, person needs to have good people skills and develop relationships with other teams.
• Clarity in communication.
