Job summary

HDFC ERGO General Insurance is seeking a Senior Manager - Bancassurance to lead and execute growth strategies in the bancassurance channel. The role involves steering the team toward achieving GWP targets, market share and budgeted penetration, while coordinating with bank partners and internal teams.

The incumbent will train and review the team, hire and maintain diversity, and drive R&R programs. This position is based in Maharashtra, India, with permanent employment and branch operations.

Qualifications

• Post Graduate is required as part of the educational qualification.
• Experience in bancassurance or retail insurance channels is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing and executing strategies for continuous growth.
• Ensuring achievement of the GWP numbers, market share and penetration of budgets.
• Regular interaction and coordination with line managers, channel partners, third-party teams and bank line teams.
• Providing training to the team and periodic review of performance and setting agendas.
• Hiring, maintaining diversity and controlling attrition; grooming direct reportees including 5 to 7 Sales Managers.
• Engaging with channel partners, managing product training and R&R drives.
• Maintaining channel relationship management and ensuring compliance across internal teams.
• Coordinating daily with internal teams via huddles or one-to-one calls and managing relationships across the bank.
