Job summary

Trane Technologies, Bangalore, seeks a Senior Manager in Assurance & Advisory Services to lead the India internal audit team and manage end-to-end audits for a global organization. The role emphasizes risk assessment, controls, and performance improvement within a fast-paced environment.

The position requires extensive audit/ manufacturing accounting experience, public accounting exposure, and strong leadership skills; travel ~25% internationally is expected.

Why consider this role

The position of Senior Manager, Assurance & Advisory Services for Europe, Middle East, Africa, and India (EMEAI) provides leadership to the India-based internal audit team, with responsibility for the end-to-end audit process and other critical compliance initiatives. The Senior Manager is a key part of the Global Assurance & Advisory Services team to ensure we maintain a leading-practice program and continue to embed sustainable processes and controls within the Company’s culture. The ideal candidate will have significant audit and internal controls experience, the ability to work with and direct teams to deliver value-add audit and consulting services, strong presentation, communication, and problem-solving skills, and will be comfortable in dealing with ambiguity in a fast-paced and changing environment. This role will lead a team of senior auditors and associates. Travel expectation for this role is estimated at approximately 25%, which includes international travel.

Where is the work Location: Bangalore India. Work Arrangement - Hybrid: This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule, with work performed on-site 4 days each week.

What you will do

• Assist in and help drive the development and execution of a broad range of audit and compliance initiatives.
• Contribute to the development of the risk-based rolling audit plan with a focus on allocating audit resources to the areas of greatest financial, operational, or compliance risk within the Company.
• Deliver the end-to-end audit process including planning, execution, and reporting of audits, as well as remediation of identified issues.
• Develop and maintain strong technical skills in accounting, audit, data analytics, information technology, and other areas.
• Responsible for oversight of the EMEAI audit team Demonstrate excellent audit and business skills/knowledge.
• Develop detailed knowledge of Trane Technologies, its markets, industries, and products.
• Mentor, train, and supervise employees within a matrix organization, including providing substantive, objective, and timely feedback on performance, both formal and informal.
• Provide career coaching and development to assist employees with personal goals and career path opportunities.
• Leverage relationships with data analytics, IT, and other teams to plan and execute integrated audit field work.
• Review audit reports and workpapers, as needed, in a timely manner to ensure clear, concise, and well-supported conclusions are presented.
• Support ad-hoc activities and projects as needed, including providing investigation-related support to the Ethics & Compliance group.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent, required.
• Master’s degree in related field, preferred.
• Professional certification required. CA, CPA, or CIA, preferred.
• 14+ years of combined relevant audit and manufacturing accounting experience required.
• Relevant public accounting experience strongly preferred.
