Responsibilities

• Manage hardware, software, and configuration tasks across roaming platforms.
• Lead complex incident investigations and deliver root cause analyses.
• Drive cybersecurity compliance through timely execution of patches.
• Review external changes for risk-free implementation and service availability.
• Monitor core network KPIs and drive corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot 2G/3G/4G/5G SA/NSA protocol flows per 3GPP standards.
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve complex technical issues.
• Drive cybersecurity compliance through timely patches and hardening.
• Support project transitions by reviewing HLDs/LLDs and validating systems.
• Identify and deliver service-improvement initiatives for tools and processes.
• Participate in trainings and knowledge-sharing to build team expertise.

About this role

We are seeking a highly experienced specialist to ensure the continuous availability, stability, and performance of international roaming platforms and services, including 5G SA/NSA, Diameter Routing solutions, signalling systems, and value-added roaming services. The individual will act as a subject matter expert, handling incident resolution, change delivery, platform optimisation, and vendor engagement while contributing to operational excellence, security compliance, and service improvements

What you will do

• Manage all hardware, software, and configuration tasks across roaming platforms, ensuring timely resolution of incidents within agreed SLAs.
• Support Incident Management teams by leading complex incident investigations, delivering root cause analyses, and implementing permanent fixes.
• Own, plan, and execute changes by reviewing and performing Methods of Procedure (MoPs) for software upgrades, capacity enhancements, certificates, security patches, and platform updates.
• Review and validate changes initiated by external teams to ensure risk-free implementation and continuous service availability.
• Monitor and optimise core network KPIs, identifying deviations and implementing corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot 2G/3G/4G/5G SA/NSA protocol-level message flows as per 3GPP standards.
• Collaborate closely with external vendors to resolve complex technical issues and obtain required support.
• Drive cybersecurity compliance by ensuring timely execution of patches and security hardening.
• Support new project transitions by reviewing HLDs and LLDs, conducting functional and non-functional validations, and performing system testing.
• Identify and deliver service improvement initiatives focused on operational tools, processes, and workflows.
• Participate in trainings and knowledge-sharing workshops to build expertise across the team.

Who you are

• Experienced in 3GPP technologies, including 4G and 5G SEPP.
• Skilled in working with PAAS and CAAS-hosted platforms.
• Strong understanding of roaming and interconnect networks, including Diameter, SS7, N32 signalling, and GTP.
• Proficient in Linux administration across multiple distributions.
• Demonstrates strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and a solutions-driven mindset.
• Holds 12+ years of telecom core operations experience, with expertise in platforms such as Tekelec DRA, Oracle STP, firewalls, number portability databases, 5G SEPP, and Tomia VAS systems.
• Experienced with Kubernetes, virtualisation, clustering, and Linux systems like Red Hat, CentOS, and Ubuntu.
• Skilled in vulnerability management, security hardening, and database support.
