Job summary

Ingredion Incorporated in Mumbai is seeking a seasoned logistics professional to oversee end-to-end export operations, import and trading logistics, Mannitab dispatch, domestic road transport, and warehouse coordination across Bhiwandi and other sites.

The role emphasizes cost control, KPI monitoring (OTIF, freight, turnaround), regulatory compliance (GST, e-invoicing), and collaboration with supply planning, production, and finance to ensure timely, cost-effective movement of both RM and FG.

Responsibilities

• Export Operations Management: End-to-end export shipments documentation to dispatch; coordinate with customers, freight forwarders, CHA, and shipping lines; prepare and validate export documentation; ensure compliance with customs regulations and DGFT norms; track shipments to global customers.
• Import & Trading Logistics: Coordinate import shipment clearances; ensure timely clearance and delivery of imported materials; work with supply planning and customer service for prioritization; monitor demurrage/detention and cost avoidance.
• Mannitab Logistics Operations: Manage dispatch planning from Mannitab plant; coordinate with plant, warehouse and transporters; ensure availability of trucks and adherence to plan; integrate Mannitab logistics into Ingredion processes.
• Domestic Transportation: Plan and execute road transportation for FG and RM across India; optimize freight cost; manage transporter relationships and OTIF; resolve delivery issues.
• Warehouse Coordination: Coordinate inbound/outbound operations with warehouses (Bhiwandi hub); ensure timely GRN and system transactions; maintain inventory accuracy and FIFO/FEFO adherence; monitor warehouse KPIs; storage optimization.
• Documentation & Compliance: Ensure accuracy of GRN, e-way bills, invoices; maintain GST and regulatory compliance; support audits and record-keeping.
• Cost Control & Performance Monitoring: Track logistics costs; identify cost-saving opportunities; monitor KPIs like OTIF, freight cost per ton, transit time; ensure acceleration of clearance TAT.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with supply planning, customer service, plant/production, finance; act as single point of contact for logistics execution issues.
• Continuous Improvement & Projects: Drive digitization, automation and standardization; integrate trading and Mannitab operations into Ingredion systems.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

1. Export Operations Management

• Handle end-to-end export shipments (documentation to dispatch).

• Coordinate with customers, freight forwarders, CHA, and shipping lines.

• Prepare and validate export documentation:

• Commercial Invoice, Packing List

• Shipping Bill, BL / AWB

• Certificate of Origin, COO, other regulatory documents

• Ensure compliance with customs regulations, DGFT norms, and export incentives schemes.

• Track shipments and ensure timely delivery to global customers.

2. Import & Trading Logistics (Amishi / Imported Products)

• Coordinate import shipment clearances in collaboration with CHA and transporters.
• Ensure timely clearance and delivery of imported materials.
• Work closely with supply planning and customer service for prioritization.
• Monitor demurrage/detention and drive cost avoidance.

3. Mannitab Logistics Operations

• Manage dispatch planning from Mannitab plant (Malegaon).
• Coordinate with plant, warehouse, and transporters for timely FG movement.
• Ensure availability of trucks and dispatch adherence to plan.
• Support integration of Mannitab logistics into Ingredion processes and systems.

4. Domestic Transportation

• Plan and execute road transportation for FG and RM across India.
• Optimize freight cost through route planning and transporter selection.
• Manage transporter relationships and performance (OTIF, cost, reliability).
• Resolve delivery issues, damages, and escalations proactively.

5. Warehouse Coordination (Bhiwandi & Other Locations)

• Coordinate inbound and outbound operations with warehouses (including Bhiwandi hub).

• Ensure:

• Timely GRN and system transactions

• Inventory accuracy and stock reconciliation

• FIFO/FEFO adherence

• Monitor warehouse KPIs (turnaround time, inventory accuracy).

• Support storage optimization for both imported and domestic materials.

6. Documentation & Compliance

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all logistics documentation (GRN, e-way bills, invoices).

• Maintain compliance with:

• GST and e-invoicing regulations

• Transport and safety norms

• Support audits and maintain proper records.

7. Cost Control & Performance Monitoring

• Track logistics costs: freight, warehousing, detention, etc.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.

• Monitor key KPIs:

• OTIF (On Time In Full) delivery

• Freight cost per ton

• Transit time adherence

• Clearance TAT

8. Stakeholder Management

Collaborate with:

• Supply Planning (import and local)
• Customer Service
• Plant & Production teams (Mannitab)
• Finance (for billing, payments, and cost tracking
• Act as the single point of contact for logistics execution issues.

9. Continuous Improvement & Projects

• Support integration of trading and Mannitab operations into Ingredion systems.
• Identify process improvement opportunities in logistics and warehousing.
• Drive digitization, automation, and standardization initiatives.
