Job summary

SV Management Consultants seeks a senior leader for end-to-end vehicle packaging, architecture governance, and program delivery across EV/HEV platforms. The role leads a multi-disciplinary team, ensures regulatory alignment, and drives APQP-driven development cycles with OEMs and suppliers.

You will champion packaging rules, high-voltage safety norms, and BIW interfaces while mentoring a high-performing team of packaging and integration engineers.

Qualifications

• Min 15 years to max 20 years of work experience in automotive packaging & leadership.
• Mechanical/Automobile Engineering degree required.
• MBA or advanced certification in automotive PM / EV technology preferred.

Job description

Technical Requirement:

Domain Strategy: Extensive leadership experience in complete vehicle integration, vehicle architecture setup, digital mock up (DMU) governance, and strategic automotive project management.

Architecture Governance: Direct and approve complete vehicle packaging layouts and platform-sharing strategies to optimize vehicle weight distribution, high-voltage clearances, etc

Platform Experience: Proven track record in heading the layout integration and commercial delivery of multi-variant passenger or commercial vehicle EV and Hybrid architectures (PHEV, HEV, BEV).

Master Packaging Expertise: Deep, systemic understanding of vehicle-level packaging rules, high-voltage safety separation norms, body-in-white (BIW) interfaces, and ergonomic vehicle optimization.

Advanced Program Management: Master-level command over automotive product development gateways (APQP, Stage-Gate, or equivalent OEM release systems), risk mitigation matrixes, and engineering change management (ECM).

Regulatory & Compliance Leadership: Comprehensive understanding of regulatory, crash safety, and homologation compliance frameworks for commercial vehicles (such as AIS, CMVR, and ISO 26262 functional safety architecture).

Engineering Tools & PLM: High proficiency in reviewing, auditing, and approving digital mockups and complete vehicle build structures within standard CAD/PLM platforms (such as Catia V5/V6, Siemens NX, and Teamcenter).

Project Delivery & P&L: Demonstrated ability to manage independent, multi-variant vehicle development programs, ensuring compliance with delivery timelines, product cost targets, and engineering budgets.

Leadership & Mentorship: Natural ability to lead, mentor, and build a high-performing department of packaging, integration, and project management engineers.
