Job summary

Amex GBT in Bengaluru, India, invites a Senior Lead Engineer to design and implement large-scale, distributed systems and microservices. You will lead full-stack initiatives across Java, Node.js, React, and REST APIs, and mentor teams to lift software quality and performance.

You'll drive cloud-native architectures on AWS/Azure, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines, ensure security and compliance, and translate business needs into robust technical solutions.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in architecture, design, and development of enterprise-scale software systems.
• Hands-on full-stack development across Java, Node.js, React.js and REST API development.
• Design and implement large-scale distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Authentication protocols (SAML/OIDC) and Okta integration.
• NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis) and relational DBs (PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Agile/SDLC/Iterative development.

• Ensure security, compliance, and performance optimization across all systems
• Build highly scalable, cloud-native microservices applications with proven track records

What We're Looking For:

• 12+ years of proven experience in architecture, design, and development of enterprise-scale software systems
• Hands-on full-stack development expertise across Java, Node.js, React.js, and REST API development
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement large-scale, distributed systems and microservices architectures
• Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines
• Advanced knowledge of authentication protocols (SAML/OIDC) and Okta integration
• Proficiency with NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis) and relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Comprehensive experience with entire software development lifecycle (Agile, SDLC, Iterative)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience with relevant certifications (AWS, Azure, Kubernetes)
• Strong commitment to code quality, testing, maintainable software, and ability to adapt to changing priorities
