Job summary

SBS Global is seeking an experienced Senior Lead – Payroll to manage end-to-end payroll operations across multiple entities in Bangalore. The role demands hands-on leadership and strong knowledge of Indian payrolls and compliance.

You will drive process improvements, oversee audits, and coordinate with HR, Finance, auditors and vendors to ensure accurate, timely payroll and reporting. This is a full-time position with impact across the organization and opportunities to optimize salary

Qualifications

• 7–12 years of payroll experience.
• Minimum 4 years in a lead/supervisory role.
• Strong experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
• Hands-on experience with GreytHR / Zoho Payroll / similar payroll software.
• Strong knowledge of Indian Payroll & Labour Laws.
• Good understanding of PF, ESI, PT, LWF, Gratuity & Income Tax.
• Strong MS Excel skills.
• Payroll reconciliation, audits and MIS reporting.
• Strong team management and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple entities.

• Validate attendance, employee data, variable pay and payroll inputs.
• Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and disbursement.
• Manage statutory compliance including PF, ESI, PT, Income Tax, LWF, Gratuity and other applicable regulations.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual statutory returns.
• Conduct payroll audits, reconciliations and compliance checks.
• Prepare payroll MIS, dashboards and management reports.
• Handle employee payroll and tax-related escalations.
• Coordinate with HR, Finance, auditors and external vendors.
• Drive payroll process improvement, automation and SOP standardization.
