Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Estimator in Navi Mumbai to lead cost planning and quantity take-offs for major projects. You will collaborate with design, procurement, planning, and project teams to ensure accurate estimates and robust commercial reporting.

The role requires an engineering degree and 12–15 years of relevant experience, with a focus on value engineering and cost optimization across the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and BIM models.

• Coordinate with design, procurement, planning, and project teams to ensure estimate accuracy.
• Lead, mentor, and develop junior estimators and team members.
• Prepare technical and commercial reports and management summaries.

Your impact

• Perform detailed quantity take-offs from construction drawings and BIM models.
• Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and tender documentation.
• Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs in accordance with industry standards and project requirements.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, planning, and project execution teams to obtain cost-related inputs and ensure estimate accuracy.
• Identify cost optimization opportunities and recommend value engineering solutions to improve project profitability.
• Develop, maintain, and update cost databases, historical cost records, and estimation benchmarks.
• Support project budgeting, cost planning, forecasting, and financial reporting activities.
• Monitor estimate performance and provide cost analysis throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead, guide, and mentor junior estimators and team members to enhance team capability and performance.
• Prepare technical and commercial reports, presentations, and management summaries.
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
