Growth For Impact in Bengaluru, India, seeks a seasoned Software Architect to drive end-to-end design of utility/AMI platform modules through production deployment.

You will mentor a team, define robust microservices architecture, and collaborate with clients and executives to translate requirements into scalable, secure designs using Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Kafka, and established design patterns.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering with leadership/architecture experience.
• Proven microservices architecture design and implementation.
• Hands-on Elasticsearch for indexing, querying, and performance tuning.
• Practical experience with RabbitMQ and Kafka at scale.
• Strong grounding in design patterns and ability to produce design docs.
• Domain exposure to utility/AMI platforms is a strong plus.
• Excellent communication and ability to present to technical and executive audiences.
• Exposure to security hardening and VAPT remediation in production systems.

ROLE

• Own end-to-end solution architecture for utility/AMI platform modules, from design through production deployment.
• Author formal design documents, API reference documents, and ARB submissions for client and internal stakeholders.
• Design and review microservices architecture, ensuring scalability, fault tolerance, and clean domain boundaries.
• Apply appropriate design patterns to solve high-throughput, high-availability problems at billion-row data scale.
• Drive messaging architecture using RabbitMQ and Kafka for event-driven and high-volume telemetry pipelines.
• Architect and tune Elasticsearch for search, logging, or analytics use cases as required.
• Conduct code reviews, set engineering standards, and mentor a team of developers.
• Collaborate with client technical and executive stakeholders, translating requirements into technical designs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues across data pipelines, integrations, and infrastructure.

REQUIREMENTS

• 8+ years of overall software engineering experience, with demonstrated experience in technical leadership or architecture roles.
• Proven experience designing and implementing Microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch for indexing, querying, and performance tuning.
• Practical experience with RabbitMQ and Kafka for asynchronous and event-driven messaging at scale.
• Strong grounding in software design patterns and ability to produce clear, implementable design documents.
• Domain exposure to utility/AMI platforms — DLMS/COSEM meter protocols, HES/MDM systems, NB-IoT/LoRaWAN connectivity — is a strong plus.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to write precise, client-facing technical documentation and present architecture to both technical and executive audiences.
• Exposure to security hardening and VAPT remediation in production systems.
