Senior / Lead Business Analyst – Remittance Solution

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior/Lead Business Analyst with deep expertise in domestic and cross-border remittance solutions, payment ecosystems, and partner integrations.

In this senior role, you will own the requirements roadmap, lead complex remittance initiatives, mentor BA teams, and collaborate closely with senior leadership to shape the product strategy and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Ownership & Leadership

• Lead the end-to-end business analysis function for remittance products and services.
• Drive product vision and roadmap alignment with stakeholders, senior management, compliance, and technology.
• Mentor junior and mid-level BAs and ensure best practices in documentation, requirements gathering, and analysis.

2. Advanced Requirements Management

• Lead requirements discovery workshops with business, product, operations, and external partners.
• Own and produce high-quality BRDs, functional specifications (FSD/SRS), user stories, workflow diagrams, and API requirement definitions.
• Perform detailed process assessment, gap analysis, impact analysis, and solution feasibility evaluation across systems.
• Design and optimize complex remittance flows:
• customer onboarding & verification
• transaction processing
• FX rate application
• anti‑fraud/risk checks
• Support expansion into new corridors, partners, and payout channels (bank accounts, wallets, agents, cash pickup).

4. Product & Solution Architecture Collaboration

• Work with product managers and architects to define scalable system designs for remittance and payment capabilities.
• Collaborate heavily with engineering on API schema clarification, dependency management, data mapping, and integration design.
• Evaluate third‑party service providers, payout partners, and compliance systems for solution fit.

5. Delivery & Project Oversight

• Lead BA contribution across multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery of clear requirements.
• Drive backlog prioritization, sprint planning, UAT strategy, and go‑live readiness.
• Ensure alignment across cross‑functional teams including operations, partners, treasury, compliance, QA, and engineering.
• Ensure remittance processes comply with AML, KYC, sanctions screening, and regulatory reporting mandates.
• Work with compliance to incorporate rule updates, monitoring controls, and audit requirements into the system.
• Support risk assessments, control enhancements, and incident investigations related to remittance flows.

7. Analytics, Reporting & Insights

• Analyze transaction trends, corridor performance, and partner SLAs to drive continuous improvement.
• Define dashboards, MIS structures, and operational KPIs for leadership visibility.
• Recommend product or process optimizations based on data insights.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of Business Analyst experience, including at least 3+ years in remittance, payments, or fintech.
• Deep understanding of cross‑border remittances, settlement cycles, FX, compliance, and global money movement.
• Strong proficiency in requirement documentation (BRD, FSD/SRS, User Stories, BPMN/UML).
• Solid understanding of system architecture components: APIs, queues, services, data flows, and integration layers.
• Expertise with JIRA, Confluence, Visio/Lucidchart, analytics tools, and project delivery methodologies (Agile/Hybrid).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence, lead discussions, and manage senior stakeholders.

Preferred / Added Advantage

• Experience leading BAs or product teams in a Fintech, Digital Banking, or Money Transfer Operator (MTO) environment.
• Knowledge of real‑time payment networks, payment orchestration platforms, or treasury systems.
• Experience working with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
