Job summary

EPAM Systems in India seeks an experienced Senior/Lead Business Analyst to bridge business stakeholders and development teams. You will refine the UK backlog, manage scope changes, and ensure current requirements through delivery lifecycle.

You will drive Agile processes and gather requirements while coordinating with offshore Delivery Managers to meet timelines. You will facilitate elicitation with clients, propose feasible solutions, support testing and client buy-in, and maintain end-to-end

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of experience in Business Analysis, requirements gathering, and stakeholder management.
• Proficiency in preparing BRD and FRD documents for software systems.
• Experience across Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Scrum Ban, SAFe).
• Ability to drive SDLC processes and ceremonies.
• Experience using Jira, Rally ALM, TFS, or ServiceNow for project/change management.
• Ability to write User Stories with Acceptance Criteria using Gherkin BDD.
• Experience gathering requirements to stand up cloud environments.
• Familiarity with E-commerce, B2B Commerce, BigCommerce domains.
• Strong facilitation skills for workshops and item summaries.
• English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher.

We are seeking an experienced Senior/Lead Business Analyst to join our team and act as a critical liaison between business stakeholders and development teams. In this role, you will maintain and refine the UK backlog, manage scope change requests, and ensure requirements stay current throughout the delivery lifecycle. You will drive Agile processes, facilitate requirements gathering, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients while collaborating closely with offshore Delivery Managers to maintain project timelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and refine the established UK backlog, manage scope change requests, and ensure requirements stay current while supporting the team with clarification during delivery
• Perform change management activities to distinguish change requests and manage them jointly with the offshore Delivery Manager to maintain the timeline
• Act as a liaison between Development and Business partners on SDLC projects
• Collaborate directly with Client/Business stakeholders for requirements elicitation, proposing feasible functional solutions, supporting acceptance testing, gaining client buy-in, and conflict handling as a trusted advisor
• Engage directly with Development stakeholders for requirements feasibility discussions and elaboration, ambiguity resolution and clarifications, test scenario review, test result review, and conflict handling
• Document software system requirements and manage requirements with end-to-end traceability, capturing Feature/Epic descriptions, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria using the Gherkin BDD approach
• Run workshops with business users and summarize action items
• Drive the Agile process and ceremonies, and write stories based on Sprint/PI goals
• Facilitate requirement gathering for data movement, data needs, and standing up cloud environments
• Take complex processes and diagram them out to allow for simpler discussions
• Guide teams in their efforts to meet prescribed goals

Requirements

• 10-15 years of experience in Business Analysis, requirements gathering, and stakeholder management
• Background in preparing BRD and FRD documentation for software systems
• Proficiency in SDLC projects with experience across most Agile frameworks, including at least one of the following: Scrum, Kanban, Scrum Ban, or SAFe
• Understanding of Agile processes and ceremonies with the capability to drive them effectively
• Skills in using project/change management tools such as Jira, Rally ALM, TFS, or ServiceNow (or similar)
• Expertise in requirements management with end-to-end traceability and writing User Stories with Acceptance Criteria using the Gherkin BDD approach
• Experience in gathering requirements and information needed to stand up a cloud environment
• Familiarity with leading domains such as E-commerce, B2B Commerce, or BigCommerce
• Strong facilitation skills to run workshops with business users and summarize action items
• English proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher
• Onsite client location experience

Nice to have

• Experience working through technical stacks of a project, at least two among: DB & backend services, ETL processes, API & Web Services, Batch Jobs, Notifications and Subscriptions, or Message Queues
• Background in Software Development and/or Testing with a good understanding of the technology areas of a project
• Experience in Scrum Master or Project Manager activities
