Job summary

American Express is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional for the CMAC team within the GR2R Controllership. The role focuses on accounting for GNS and JV related revenues such as royalties and incentives under US GAAP, and monthly invoicing for processes like third-party benefits.

You will monitor and report on revenue and expense measures for GNS Brand, participate in monthly closes, and support internal controls while collaborating with global teams from Gurgaon, India.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting for revenue under US GAAP.
• Experience with accounting for royalties, incentives, and JV related revenues is a plus.
• Controls-focused accounting professional with monthly close exposure.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, interpret and account for GNS and JV related processed revenue (royalties, incentives) under US GAAP.
• Raise monthly invoices for processes like Third Party Benefits and incentive payments and perform related accounting.
• Ensure robust monitoring and reporting of measures, initiatives, and delivery levels of GNS brand revenue and expense accounting.

This role is a part of Card & Merchant Accounting and Controls (CMAC) team within Global Record to Report Organization (GR2R) in Controllership. Specifically, the position will be a critical part of the Incentive Accounting CoE , responsible for:

• Analysis, interpretation and accounting of Global Network Services (GNS) and Joint Venture (JV) related processed revenue such as Royalties, Incentives etc. in accordance with the contractual terms, obligations & US GAAP.
• The position will be responsible for raising Invoices related for processes such as Third Party Benefits, action items such as incentive payments etc on monthly basis followed by accounting.
• The role will also be expected to ensure robust monitoring and reporting of various measures, initiatives, and overall delivery levels of GNS Brand related revenue & expense accounting.
