Job summary

Virtusa in India is seeking an experienced Java developer to design, develop, and troubleshoot microservices-based applications using Spring Boot, Java, and Kafka. The role requires hands-on coding, strong knowledge of REST services, and experience with cloud and container technologies to deliver secure, scalable software.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in software engineering, solid experience with RDBMS (Oracle), and proficiency in GIT, Jenkins, and Maven/Gradle to ensure high-quality

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience

Responsibilities

• Spring boot , Microservices , Java, Kafka with AWS
• Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
• Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance
• Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
• Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation
• Applies technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity
• Gathers, analyzes, and draws conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making in service of secure, stable application development
• Learns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems
• Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
• Strong Java, J2EE and Micro services development experience.
• Strong experience in RDBMS(Oracle)
• Hands-on knowledge on cloud Technology. Containers and Kafka or any streaming technology
• Experience with various source control tools like GIT
• Good understanding of Jenkins CI/CD, Maven/Gradle
• Excellent knowledge in developing resilient and high quality deliverables.
