Job summary

Luxoft in India is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, build, and scale backend services for a high-throughput platform with reliability and auditability. You will own end-to-end delivery from design to production, collaborating with Product, QA, and DevOps, and will design microservices, optimize PostgreSQL, and deploy on AWS.

The role requires strong Java, Spring, Angular experience and a focus on observability, security, and resilient architectures.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend experience with Java (Core Java, Collections/Concurrency, Streams, JVM internals).
• Strong with Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security; Spring Cloud a plus).
• 5+ years of professional Angular experience.
• Exposure to Python for tooling and automation.
• Proven expertise with PostgreSQL: indexing strategies, query tuning, transactions/locking, isolation levels.
• Hands on AWS experience deploying production services (at least 3 of ECS/EKS/Lambda, RDS/Aurora, S3, SQS/SNS/MSK/Kinesis, CloudWatch, IAM).
• Solid API design (REST/gRPC), versioning, pagination, and backward compatibility.
• Production grade observability (logs, metrics, tracing; OpenTelemetry, Prometheus/Grafana).
• CI/CD with GitHub Actions (branching strategies, code reviews, trunk based or GitFlow).
• Practical use of GitHub Copilot to boost productivity while maintaining code quality.
• Experience building fault tolerant distributed systems (circuit breakers, bulkheads, rate limiting).
• Proficiency with containerization (Docker) and infrastructure as code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices (OWASP Top 10).
• Excellent communication; translate requirements into actionable technical plans.

• Knowledge of domain-driven design (DDD) and CQRS patterns.
• Experience with performance profiling (JFR, async-profiler) and JVM tuning (GC, heap, thread pools).
• Exposure to Python and Node.js for tooling and automation.
