Senior Backend Engineer (Java/Spring Boot)

Position Overview

Seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with 8+ years of experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Kubernetes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop microservices using Java 8/11+, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs
• Implement data persistence with JPA, PostgreSQL, Redis, and NoSQL
• Build event-driven systems using Kafka and message queues
• Deploy and manage applications on Kubernetes (primary focus) and AWS (EC2, S3, RDS)
• Use ArgoCD and Rancher for deployment automation
• Monitor applications using OpenSearch
• Implement security: Auth/AuthZ, SSL/TLS certificates, and secure API design
• Own features end-to-end: requirements development testing production monitoring
• Proactively identify and resolve issues

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years backend development with Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and Kubernetes cluster management
• Advanced Spring: WebClient, caching, schedulers, configuration management
• PostgreSQL, Redis, NoSQL databases
• Kafka and event-driven architecture
• Git proficiency and advanced commands
• IntelliJ IDEA hands-on experience
• AWS awareness (EC2, S3, RDS)
• Core Java expertise: Collections, Concurrency, Streams, JVM internals
