Job summary

Luxoft is looking for senior Java professionals to maintain and enhance large-scale enterprise applications. The role emphasizes deep Java expertise, multithreading, SQL, and Hibernate, with opportunities to mentor peers and contribute to modernization initiatives.

You will work in a complex production environment, analyze performance issues, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable, robust solutions. Prior experience with deployment processes and production support is expected.

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years of software development experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Strong Java development experience with deep understanding of multithreading, collections, concurrency, and performance optimisation.
• Advanced SQL skills with experience working on complex data models and production systems.
• Proven, hands-on Hibernate expertise, including design, troubleshooting, performance tuning and real-world implementation.
• Ability to independently analyse, maintain and enhance existing legacy applications and codebases.
• Extensive experience working on large, business-critical enterprise applications.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across complex distributed systems.
• Experience onboarding into existing applications and becoming productive with minimal ramp-up time.
• Hands-on experience with application deployment processes and environment management.
• Familiarity with access management, operational processes, and production support activities.
• Ability to understand and navigate legacy code and architecture without extensive documentation.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering in mature environments where understanding the existing estate is as important as developing new functionality.
