Job summary

Kaidoko is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable Java-based backend services. You will work with Spring Boot, Hibernate, and modern backend frameworks to deliver robust APIs and microservices.

We expect hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), containers, and CI/CD, plus collaboration with cross-functional teams to ship high-performance applications with strong security and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development experience, including 2+ years in a senior role.
• Strong proficiency in Java and frameworks such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, and JPA.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and GraphQL with microservices architecture.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related services.
• Solid DB knowledge (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and SQL/NoSQL.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) and Docker/Kubernetes.
• Security best practices for backend services (auth, authz, encryption).

Responsibilities

Role Overview : -

• We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer with strong expertise in Java and proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems.

• This role requires technical leadership, problem-solving ability, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance applications.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java (Spring Boot, Hibernate, etc.).
• Architect and implement microservices-based solutions ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Integrate applications with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) including deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

• Implement best practices in coding, testing, CI/CD pipelines, and API development.

Required Skills & Qualifications : -

• Strong proficiency in Java with frameworks like Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and microservices architecture.

• Knowledge of security best practices in backend development (authentication, authorization, encryption).
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
• 5+ years of backend development experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role.

Preferred Skills : -

• Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Exposure to DevOps practices and infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible).
• Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
