Senior Java Developer – Backend Engineer

We are looking for a strong Java Backend Engineer with AWS experience who can operate confidently in a fast‑paced, security‑first delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and enhance Java‑based backend systems deployed on AWS.
• Identify, analyse and fix security vulnerabilities highlighted by automated security scans such as Wiz.
• Prioritise remediation, upgrade dependencies and ensure fixes are implemented without affecting stability or performance.
• Operate within a rapid 2‑week release cycle, taking end‑to‑end ownership from code changes to production deployment and post‑release monitoring.
• Collaborate with security, DevOps and platform teams to ensure safe, efficient releases.

Required Skills & Expertise

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Java backend development and Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in upgrading libraries, frameworks and dependencies while maintaining backward compatibility.
• Strong understanding of AWS services, deployment processes and environment configuration.
• Familiarity with security scanning tools such as Wiz and the ability to quickly learn new compliance requirements.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills, high learnability and a proactive approach.
