Job summary

Sdna Global is seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer with 7+ years of hands-on Java experience to design and build scalable backend services. The role focuses on microservices, reactive programming, and cloud-native architectures across distributed systems.

You will design REST and gRPC APIs, work with Kafka/MQ, and drive containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes in a cloud environment (GCP preferred).

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in software development with hands-on Java.
• Strong proficiency in Java 21+.
• Experience with Spring Boot or Quarkus.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in functional programming, reactive architecture, and non-blocking I/O.
• Strong experience in Microservices and Distributed Systems.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, gRPC, Event-Driven Architecture.
• Experience with Kafka / MQ.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP.
• Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Good understanding of CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with PostgreSQL / NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of backend security practices including OAuth2, JWT, and mTLS.
• Experience with logging, metrics, and distributed tracing/observability
