Job description

We're seeking a highly proficient Senior Java Automation Test Engineer with deep knowledge spanning Java automation frameworks, API testing, CI/CD integration, and forward-looking AI-based testing approaches. The successful candidate will take responsibility for engineering scalable automation solutions, elevating quality engineering standards, coaching team members, and applying Generative AI and Agentic AI technologies to fast-track software testing and delivery timelines.

Responsibilities

• Architect, construct, refine, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks built with Java
• Develop dependable automation solutions leveraging Selenium
• Direct framework architecture choices centered on scalability, maintainability, and reuse
• Put parallel execution strategies into practice and optimize run times across different browsers and platforms
• Build out reusable libraries, utility tools, and framework extensions
• Architect and build API automation solutions supporting REST and SOAP service testing
• Confirm the integrity of XML and JSON payloads using serialization and deserialization methods
• Set up authentication and authorization approaches, covering Basic Authentication, Bearer Tokens, OAuth, and NTLM
• Oversee session management and perform API integration testing
• Carry out code reviews and maintain clean coding discipline
• Set and enforce standards for coding, branching approaches, and version control practices
• Connect automation test suites to CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions
• Architect and build AI-driven capabilities for automated test case creation, script generation, code review support, and API-based automation workflows

Requirements

• Between 6 and 9 years of hands-on experience in test automation
• Strong command of Java, including solid Object-Oriented Programming fundamentals such as classes, objects, inheritance, polymorphism, encapsulation, and abstraction
• Deep expertise in building scalable test automation frameworks and working with Selenium
• Capability in API test automation for REST and SOAP services, including validation of XML and JSON payloads
• Skilled in software design patterns, including Singleton, Factory, and Decorator
• Familiarity with Page Object Model and Page Factory approaches
• Background integrating CI/CD and DevOps workflows using Jenkins and GitHub Actions, along with static code analysis and quality gate implementation
• Practical experience with Large Language Models, such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, and Cursor
• Solid grasp of prompt engineering, context window management, and tokenization
• Working knowledge of model selection approaches, embeddings, and vector databases for semantic search use cases
• Ability to design and build AI agents and AI-assisted engineering solutions using OpenAI Assistants, GitHub Copilot, and Claude
• Understanding of similarity search techniques and retrieval mechanisms

Nice to have

• Background building agentic workflows and collaborative multi-agent systems supporting end-to-end testing, automated reporting, and workflow coordination
• Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation architectures and integrating LLMs with enterprise knowledge sources
• Understanding of Model Context Protocol concepts and associated frameworks
