Job summary

Epam Systems is seeking a Senior Java Automation Test Engineer to design and implement scalable automation frameworks in Java, with strong API testing and CI/CD integration. You will mentor teams to accelerate quality engineering and delivery, and drive best practices across testing activities.

You will own automation strategy, leverage Selenium for UI automation, and build reusable libraries while ensuring quick feedback through CI pipelines and automated reporting.

Qualifications

• 6–9 years of IT experience with focus on test automation.
• Proficiency in Java and OO principles.
• Experience with Selenium, REST and SOAP API automation.

Requirements

• Expertise in Java, including Object-Oriented Programming principles such as Classes and Objects, Inheritance, Polymorphism, Encapsulation, and Abstraction
• Proficiency in Selenium, REST, and SOAP API automation
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms including Basic Authentication, Bearer Tokens, OAuth, and NTLM
• Familiarity with software design patterns including Singleton, Factory, Decorator, Page Object Model, and Page Factory
• Skills in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions
• Understanding of static code analysis and quality gates
• Background in generating and utilizing embeddings for semantic search applications
• Understanding of similarity search and retrieval mechanisms

Nice to have

• Understanding of Transformer Architecture
