Job summary

JumpCloud is hiring for a remote IT support specialist based in India. You will handle internal end-user requests, onboard new hires, configure hardware, and manage assets while learning and applying new technologies.

You’ll use JumpCloud’s platform daily, collaborate with a global team, and drive IT projects end-to-end. Strong customer service, troubleshooting, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of IT experience, or equivalent education.
• Strong desire to learn new technologies.
• Process driven and highly organized.
• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
• Thrive in a fast-moving, team-oriented environment.
• Demonstrate critical thinking to resolve end user issues.
• People person with strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.
• Vendor management experience.
• Proficient in Mac OS X and Windows; Linux exposure expected.
• Ability to translate technical information to non-technical users.
• Experience with SSO.
• PowerShell scripting; Python a plus.
• ITIL awareness a plus.

What you'll be doing:

• Handle IT support requests from internal end users.

• Follow up on outstanding requests and ensure timely resolution.

• Create accounts and configure hardware as part of the on-boarding process.

• Assist with employee training and onboarding.

• Manage and monitor internal IT assets to ensure accurate inventory records.

• Support computers, printers, scanners, computer peripherals.

• Become a pro using our own platform to support our own employees.

• Take ownership of assigned IT related projects. These projects can include a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to, documentation, configuration of systems and applications, and integrations.

• Work with vendors to procure equipment

What we're looking for:

• Proficient in Mac OS X and Windows. We'll throw a few Linux systems in there to keep you on your toes.

• Ability to translate technical information to non-technical users.

• Experience with SSO.

• Scripting in PowerShell (Python would be a plus).

• ITIL awareness a plus.

Where you'll be working/Location:

JumpCloud is committed to being Remote First, meaning that you are able to work remotely within the country noted in the Job Description.

This role is remote in the country of India. You must be located in and authorized to work in India to be considered for this role.
