Job summary

CIMET is seeking a Senior IT Administrator in Jaipur to manage Windows, macOS, and Linux environments, implement ISO 27001 controls, and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure.

You will lead security, network management, onboarding/offboarding, and cloud service optimization, partnering with the Head of Engineering to strengthen IT operations. The role requires 7–10 years in IT administration, with hands-on experience across AD, MDM, IAM, and hybrid cloud, in a fast-growing SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Certifications such as ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor and AWS SysOps are preferred.
• Strong expertise in Windows, macOS, Linux, Office 365, AWS, and security tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT security and ISO 27001 compliance initiatives.
• Manage Windows, macOS, Linux environments and cloud services (AWS).
• Oversee endpoint protection, IAM, SSO, MFA and Zero Trust policies.
• Handle employee onboarding/offboarding, access control, and asset inventory.
• Provide L1/L2 IT support for cross-platform issues.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

We are looking for a Senior IT Administrator to manage and secure our Windows, macOS, and Linux environments, ensure compliance with ISO 27001, and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure.

You will play a key role in IT security, network management, Linux/Windows system administration, employee onboarding/offboarding, and cloud service optimization.

ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT

CIMET currently provides end-to-end comparison and signup of Energy, Telco, Credit Cards, Personal loan, and residential solar plans through its online solution in a B2B and B2C environment. It presently caters to various Providers and has several White label partners and other co-branded partners. This portfolio will further expand over the next 18 months across financial services (loans and insurance products). The online comparison market is extremely crowded in Australia, with most comparators providing a light touch directory solution. CIMET saw this as an opportunity and developed a fully integrated online comparison and signup platform.

On 15 March 2022, CIMET decided to partner with iSelect who acquired a 49% stake in CIMET Holdings. Going forward, CIMET will use this investment from iSelect to expand into new verticals including Home loans, Car loans, Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Pet Insurance among others. Additionally, CIMET has plans to expand into multiple geographies including India. CIMET today has around 130+ resources across Australia and India and will grow to over 200 over the next 2 years.

Key Responsibilities:

1. IT Security & ISO 27001 Compliance

• Draft and implement IT policies for ISO 27001 certification.
• Manage endpoint security:
  • Windows Defender for Endpoint (MDR)
  • CrowdStrike Falcon (EDR/XDR)
  • BitLocker/FileVault encryption
• Conduct security audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability scans.
• Implement IAM, SSO, MFA, Zero Trust Security policies.
• Harden Linux/Windows servers against cyber threats.
• Administer Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Hyper-V.
• Manage macOS devices using Apple Business Manager and MDM (Jamf, Intune, or Kandji).
• Patch management & security hardening
• User management, ACLs, Sticky Bit
• LVM (Logical Volume Management) & SWAP management
• NFS & Samba for file sharing
• HAProxy for load balancing
• Bind service (DNS configuration)
• EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Auto Scaling, Route 53
• Linux-based web and application servers
• Manage firewalls & VPN solutions (Fortinet, SonicWall, Palo Alto, Sophos).
• Optimize network performance, storage, and load balancing.

4. Employee Onboarding & Offboarding

• Automate user provisioning/deprovisioning with PowerShell, AWS Lambda, or Bash scripting.
• Manage user accounts, email access, and security permissions.
• Maintain IT asset inventory & system access controls.

5. IT Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide L1/L2 support for Windows, macOS, and Linux issues.
• Troubleshoot network, hardware, and software problems.
• Maintain remote access solutions (VPN, RDP, Citrix).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
