Job summary

Rebel Foods in Mumbai, India, is seeking a Senior Manager, Internal Audit to strengthen governance, risk management, and control environment across functions. You will own audit planning, lead reviews, identify control gaps, and drive action closure with cross-functional stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has CA or CIA qualification and 4–6 years in internal audit or risk/compliance, preferably with Big4/consulting or large corporates, and exposure to ERP systems and data analytics.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA / CIA with 4–6 years post-qualification experience in internal audit, risk management, or compliance.
• Big4/consulting or large corporate exposure preferred.
• Hands-on in restaurants, distributed setups, or IT-led audits is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the annual RBIA plan and lead internal audits across key processes.
• Identify control gaps, inefficiencies, and compliance risks; recommend actionable solutions.
• Coordinate audits and support external audit testing across TOD, TOC, ITGC, ITAC.
• Prepare detailed audit reports and manage findings to closure; ensure stakeholder buy-in.

Role Overview

• We are looking for a highly driven Internal Audit Lead to strengthen the organization’s governance, risk management, and internal control environment. This role will be responsible for the audit scope planning, internal audits across functions, identifying control gaps, following up on action taken and driving process improvements to enhance compliance and operational efficiency.
• The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in internal audit and risk assessment, preferably within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Reports to Lead - Internal Audit Function

Key Responsibilities

Audit Planning Execution

• Develop and implement the annual Risk-Based Internal Audit (RBIA) plan
• Lead and execute internal audits across key business processes
• Coordinate the conduct of audits to assess operational efficiency and control effectiveness
• Evaluate and strengthen Internal Financial Controls (IFC) and risk management frameworks through periodic testing and Risk Control Matrix (RCM) refinement
• Identify control gaps, process inefficiencies, and compliance risks, and recommend actionable solutions
• Support external audit testing across TOD, TOC, ITGC, and ITAC reviews

Reporting & Stakeholder Management

• Prepare detailed audit reports, risk assessments, and management presentations highlighting key observations
• Track audit findings through to closure and confirm implementation of corrective actions
• Collaborate with external auditors, leadership teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure audit readiness

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements using the compliance tool and report the status to the management
• Drive ESG charter development and periodic reporting against agreed KPI metrics

Key Requirements

• Qualified CA / CIA
• 4 - 6 years of post qualification experience in internal audit, risk management, or compliance
• Prior experience in Big4 / consulting firms or large corporates preferred
• Hands-on experience in (a) restaurants (b) distributed set-ups (c) IT led systems audits will be a plus
• Exposure to data analytics / audit tools is an added advantage
• Strong understanding of:
• Risk & compliance frameworks
• Audit methodologies and governance practices
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
• High attention to detail with ability to work in a dynamic environment.
