OVIYAM Associates is looking for an experienced Interior & Joinery Draughtsman to join our growing Bangalore studio.

We work with international interior design and architecture practices on high end hospitality and residential projects across the UK and Europe. Our role is to translate design intent into clear, accurate and highly detailed technical drawing packages.

This is a technical role rather than a conceptual design position. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys detailing and understands how interiors, furniture and joinery are put together.

The role will include:

• Producing detailed interior drawing packages in AutoCAD
• Internal elevations, sections and construction details
• Bespoke joinery, cabinetry, panelling and furniture drawings
• Shop drawings and fabrication details
• Bathroom and interior fit out detailing
• Setting out and coordination drawings
• Translating designers’ sketches, references and intent drawings into buildable information
• Coordinating drawings with architects, designers, contractors and fabricators
• Reviewing drawings for accuracy, consistency and buildability

We are looking for someone with:

• 4+ years of relevant professional experience
• Excellent AutoCAD skills
• Strong knowledge of interior construction and joinery
• Experience producing detailed joinery or millwork shop drawings
• A good understanding of materials, junctions, tolerances and fabrication
• Excellent attention to detail and drawing standards
• Experience in high end residential, hospitality, interior fit out, furniture or joinery projects
• Good written and spoken English

A degree in Architecture is not essential. Candidates with backgrounds in interior design, architectural drafting, furniture, joinery, millwork or interior contracting are encouraged to apply.

Revit experience would be useful but is not essential.
