Job summary

Vishakan Placement Service is seeking a Senior Interior Designer/Lead Designer for its premium interiors client-facing role in Chennai at the OMR Perungudi location. You will own leads from consultation through design sign-off and sales closure, creating functional and aesthetically compelling residential interiors.

The role requires 3-7 years experience, proficiency in SketchUp, V-Ray, Enscape, and willingness to adopt AI-powered tools; you must have your own laptop and be ready for a 10:00 AM

Responsibilities

• Own assigned residential interior leads from initial client consultation through design sign-off and sales closure.
• Convert assigned qualified leads into confirmed bookings by effectively understanding client needs and presenting suitable design solutions.
• Achieve monthly sales targets with guidance and support from the reporting manager.
• Understand client requirements, budget, and preferences to develop tailored interior design solutions.
• Develop and present design concepts, layouts, material selections, and quotations aligned with client expectations and budget.
• Prepare layouts, 3D views, and working drawings with a strong focus on design accuracy and execution feasibility.
• Lead clients through the complete design journey, ensuring timely follow-ups, design revisions, approvals, and a seamless customer experience.
• Drive sales closures by building trust, addressing client concerns, and presenting compelling design proposals.
• Collaborate closely with the Business Lead and internal teams to ensure clear project documentation and a smooth handover to the execution team after design sign-off.
• Maintain high design standards, process discipline, and effective communication throughout the customer journey.
• Demonstrate proficiency in SketchUp, SketchUp Layout, V-Ray, and Enscape.
• Be proficient in, or demonstrate a willingness to learn and effectively implement, AI-powered tools and technologies in the interior design process.
