Qualifications

Role Description

The Senior Interior Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for leading interior design projects from concept to completion. The role involves developing design concepts, space plans, and detailed drawings for retail, commercial, and mixed-use environments, while ensuring alignment with brand strategy and client objectives. Daily tasks include coordinating with architecture and construction teams, preparing and reviewing construction drawings, selecting FF&E, and ensuring design quality and consistency across all project phases. The Senior Interior Designer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, present design proposals to clients, manage project timelines and deliverables, and oversee implementation on site. The role also includes mentoring junior designers and contributing to the continuous improvement of design standards and processes.

Qualifications

• Strong Interior Design and Space Planning skills, with experience in retail and commercial environments.
• Knowledge of Architecture principles and integration of interior concepts with architectural design.
• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing detailed Construction Drawings and technical documentation.
• Expertise in FF&E selection, specification, and coordination with suppliers and contractors.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• 8+ years of professional experience in interior design, preferably with client-facing responsibilities.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design and documentation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience with retail branding and customer experience design is an advantage.
