Detailed Job Description:

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer supporting enterprise infrastructure in Bangalore, you will take full operational, tactical, and technical ownership of post-deployment administration, lifecycle management, and complex L3 incident resolution. Your day-to-day responsibilities include administering Dell VxRail clusters, managing software upgrades, troubleshooting Dell PowerFlex Rack environments, and providing advanced iDRAC and firmware support for Dell PowerEdge servers. You will configure and troubleshoot Cisco enterprise networking, manage VMware vSphere/ESXi/vCenter virtualization layers, and develop Ansible and Puppet playbooks for robust infrastructure automation. Furthermore, you will lead complex root-cause analyses, manage production support escalations, and collaborate closely with cross-functional global engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer, configure, upgrade, and manage lifecycle operations for Dell VxRail hyper-converged infrastructure clusters.
• Oversee Dell PowerFlex Rack storage administration, proactive health monitoring, and advanced troubleshooting.
• Provide expert hardware support, firmware upgrades, and iDRAC management for Dell PowerEdge server fleets.
• Configure, administer, and troubleshoot Cisco enterprise networking switches, routers, and connectivity fabrics.
• Manage VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter virtualization environments, ensuring high availability and resource optimization.
• Build, maintain, and optimize infrastructure automation code using Ansible and Puppet playbooks.
• Execute post-deployment administration, routine maintenance, system backups, and production support operations.
• Handle L3 troubleshooting, complex incident resolution, and root-cause analysis (RCA) for critical data center outages.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 6 to 8+ years of professional IT infrastructure, data center, and systems administration experience.
• Deep hands-on expertise in Dell VxRail administration, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Proven practical experience in Dell PowerFlex Rack administration and enterprise troubleshooting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Dell PowerEdge servers, BIOS/firmware management, and iDRAC configuration.
• Strong troubleshooting and administrative skills in Cisco Enterprise Networking environments.
• Advanced proficiency in VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter virtualization platforms.
• Demonstrated expertise in infrastructure automation frameworks utilizing Ansible and Puppet.
• Mandatory legal eligibility to work in India with availability for on-site operations in Bangalore.
