Job summary

Opt IT is seeking a senior Information and Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and manage enterprise security infrastructure. You will lead security operations, protect networks and systems, and coordinate with infrastructure and application teams.

You will oversee IAM, privileged access, and secure remote access, while mentoring engineers and driving security architecture best practices.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design and manage firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, WAF, proxies, and network segmentation.
• Implement security controls across on-prem, cloud, endpoint, and identity.
• Monitor SIEM/EDR and security alerts; investigate incidents and respond.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk reviews, and remediation tracking.
• Manage IAM, MFA, privileged access, and secure remote access controls.
• Support security audits, policies, and risk documentation.
• Lead security projects and coordinate with infra and app teams.
• Mentor engineers and provide guidance on security architecture.

Role Overview

We are looking for a senior Information and Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and manage enterprise security infrastructure, protect networks and systems, and lead security operations and incident response.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, WAF, proxies, and network segmentation
• Implement security controls across on-premises, cloud, endpoint, and identity environments
• Monitor SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and security alerts; investigate and respond to incidents
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk reviews, security hardening, and remediation tracking
• Manage IAM, MFA, privileged access, and secure remote access controls
• Support security audits, compliance requirements, policies, and risk documentation
• Lead security projects, technical reviews, and coordination with infrastructure and application teams
• Mentor security engineers and provide guidance on security architecture and best practices

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, network protocols, segmentation, and zero-trust concepts
• Hands‑on experience with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability-management, and incident‑response tools
• Knowledge of AWS/Azure/GCP security, Active Directory/Entra ID, and security frameworks
• Experience with security architecture, audits, compliance, and risk management
• Strong leadership, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills

Experience

• 10+ years of experience in information security, network security, or cybersecurity engineering

Preferred

• CISSP, CCNP Security, CISM, CEH, or equivalent certification
• Experience with Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco, cloud security, automation, and SOX/ISO 27001 compliance
