Job summary

Kornferry is seeking a seasoned chemical/process engineer to lead technology transfer, scale-up, and commercialization from R&D to manufacturing. You will drive continuous improvement, support troubleshooting, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across sites.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in chemical/process engineering, process development or manufacturing technology.
• Hands-on experience in technology transfer, scale-up, equipment design/sizing, troubleshooting and project execution.
• Good knowledge of PSM, PHA, HAZOP, MOC and PSSR.
• Experience with PFDs, P&IDs, commissioning and plant start-up.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Experience in continuous improvement, yield/capacity enhancement and cost optimization.
• Good project management and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Lean Six Sigma certification is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology transfer, process scale-up and commercialization from R&D/pilot to manufacturing.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield, capacity, cost reduction, sustainability and process safety.
• Provide technical support for process troubleshooting, optimization and debottlenecking at manufacturing sites.
• Support Process Safety Management activities including PSI, PHA, HAZOP, MOC and PSSR.
• Prepare/review PFDs, P&IDs, material & energy balances, equipment specifications, process layouts and utility requirements.
• Support equipment selection/sizing, process control logic, safety interlocks and sequence design.
• Lead/support detailed engineering, construction, commissioning, trial production, start-up and process validation.
• Coordinate with R&D, Production, Engineering, Procurement, EHS, Quality and external vendors for successful project execution.
• Ensure processes and projects comply with applicable EHS, quality and regulatory requirements.
